    PSM3 Fallout 3 platform comparison

Hmmm, I always thought the PS3 had better graphics since it came out later. Seems I thought wrong.

If the games had good controls and mechanics those would not need updating, unless you are talking about key mapping. Since the main barrier of entry to older games seems mainly to be the graphics, that alone would be an improvement. Maybe sound as well.

It would be cool if those older games could have their graphics updated to better suit today's machines. Even for Fallout... imagine the exact same Fallout, but in 3D graphics. Same mechanics, same isometric perspective, only updated to 3D for larger resolution and detail, with the added benefit...

One thing's for sure, that is the kind of game you will remember for a long time. And I mean it in the best sense.

Pretty interesting article. Very nice, how things turned out in the end. I got into Fallout 2 when it came out at 14 years of age. Never read the manual, yet managed to get in to the game just fine. It was the first RPG game that I tried, and I had no prior experience in other forms of RPGs...

Interplay Website launched, hires Chris Taylor

Wow (no pun intended), interesting news indeed. Hopefully Interplay will stay afloat again long enough to bring us a worthy successor to FO. I'm not sure if I'm guessing right, but it seems this new Interplay might be making mostly casual games that sell better. The way the website looks...

    5 new gameplay videos

That would be the voice of the ghoul who wants to be your sidekick, and you get to recruit in your party. But, he has no useful skills whatsoever, and will get blown up/maimed/dismembered in the most absurd and hilarious, over-the-top ways. Each time he dies, he will squeal out something...

    Emil sums up level scaling

If Beth was creative, they would do an interesting side quest where a Raider leader wears PA because he/she was skilled enough to kill one of them BOS or Enclave, striking fear and getting respect from other Raiders blah blah (homage to F2 tribal-in-BOS-helmet loading screen). Or that guy can...

Ask me your questions, Bridgekeeper. I am not afraid.

Ok, I'll put that in as well. On that topic... does anyone else also want to add questions? (I might regret asking this question...) I'll probably compile those and maybe send another question tomorrow. Yes, you have to register to comment. If you want, just use a dud email...

Ask me your questions, Bridgekeeper. I am not afraid.

A lot of the comments posted there are things covered already... Anyway, here are some questions I've posted: -Are the character animations going to be refined? In all the video demos I've seen, the characters animate funny. -Are the colours going to be less muted? So far everything looks...

    IGN LiveWire presentation available

Are you talking about my post? Sure, go ahead. I got most of the pictures from The Vault, will adjust that in edit. Hopefully that is the case. Would really like to see the Enclave APA we all know and love in the game.

    IGN LiveWire presentation available

I have been working on modeling the F2 APA, and did a number of studies from the limited amount of images available of the Enclave armour. Most of what we can see in detail is only the area above the shoulders. Forehead: F2 APA helmet forehead is quite recessed. However, the shallowness...

This just in: some Australians are confused

This government has done some good things, games are not one of those. I mean, for entertainment, the movie industry has always been given a bigger budget, tax cuts, better subsidies etc. We know now gaming is almost as big, if not bigger than movies in some ways. Only recently have they given...
