* Merc Troublemaker Outfit
[for its look; unfortunately its poor in terms of DR and male's version look better than female's one - my PC is female so damn Bethesda for their gender-based look of many clothes just like it is in Oblivion].
* Ranger Battle Armor
[for its usefulness].
*...
I would really enjoy having a mini-map somewhere on the screen. Just like this small map Morrowind has. It is useful, it has an option to switch between big map and mini-map and what's more important it also has an option to turn it off completely. Unfortunately Bethesda forgot what they did for...
I like the concept of Moira Brown: a bit looney and curious shopkeeper with some crazy ambitions. Unfortunately this concept is realized in rather crappy way: Moira's lines are mostly pathetic, voiceacting is annoying, dialogues with her are supposed to be funny/ironic but mostly lack wit. At...
I took Finesse perk and few levels later I removed it [via console command] and replace with other perk [not connected directly with fighting]. And I must say I see no difference while fighting without this Finesse thing.
I have LK 8 [5 base + 1 from bobblehead + Lucky Shades + Lucky 8-Ball]...
Nicely written review.
I played this game without even trying to make any comparisons to real Fallout games because I think it's pointless and it's better to play it just as another game from 'Bethesda' [I have a bit more fun this way].
I generally got one of impressions you have described...
It's not something very very funny but it was already in game [no happy 'player's-playing-with-corpses' stuff] and I came across it during exploration, here it is:
So R in RAI stands for Radiant? I thought R stands for Random...
As for some examples... Here's one:
I freed some Captive near Rivet City. He thanked me, gave me some stuff and said something like: "Those Mutants won't get me again". Then this poor bastard ran away in the direction of...
Re: im not gaining experience points on kills when i have an
Experience is gained when:
--- PC kill NPC/creature/robot,
--- PC pick a lock,
--- PC hack into computer,
--- PC pass speech check using specific line in dialogue,
--- PC complete quest.
There is also specific sound when...
Do you mean Main Quest only or some side quests?
If the former - I suppose it's not possible to mess up the plot at all without using codes, cheats, mods... etc. For example: all crucial NPCs are unkillable. Some parts of MQ can be omitted [unfortunately not those parts that scream for it but...
Dungeon-crawlers usually have some nice/interesting/unique loot as a reward for all this time spent on action-packed and sometimes boring exploration of unending dungeons. Funny thing is that Fallout 3 doesn't offer much of that reward. And when PC come across places like Hamilton's Hideaway...
Oh, but you can play Fallout 3 with mouse. Just hit Q-button on your keyboard and then go, go, go, explore, explore, explore, explore until gameworld will tell you that 'you cannot proced in that direction'...
At any time? Yeah, right, but why then can I ask about dad everywhere I wish [I mean settlements, caravan people, not necessarily Raiders]?
Laziness. Because when it appears it looks stupid. In real Fallout games I can ask about G.E.C.K or water chip almost anywhere an even though I get answers...
[1] It's so stupidly implemented that it can be irritating.
[2] It's example of being lazy because it's constructed in a way that shows any logic/credibility only if PC goes and does stuff as planned. There's no room for being different. So much for openness.
But if PC didn't go into MQ at...
I can see it. Maybe because it sounds pretty stupid when complete stranger go to strange city that is situated ver very far from vault and asks complete stranger [guard] about his/her father.
And you're wrong. I do not leave vault to find my dad. I leave vault because some crazy Overseer...
Examples can be multiplied...
Let's see...
I left vault and went straight to Megaton. All NPCs with dialogues had an option: "I am looking for my father..." OK, people in rather closed community usually know each other so they would notice instantly if some stranger was passing by. But...
Complete lack of descriptions is a big flaw of the game. But one and only icon for every single misc item is even worse. Dropping things just to see how they look or what some of them are is annoying thing.
My current character has CH = 1 and I fail to notice any downside of this. I think that NPCs react rather to karma.
Unfortunately I never saw any lines that are to choose for Charismatic PC but if they're as funny as those for Intelligent PCs I am glad I have CH 1 .
About minigames... I do not like them.
I really really do not enjoy Fallout 3's lockpicking and I completely boycott this minigame using combination: Force + load savegame in case Force didn't work.
As for hacking it's a bit better since it can at least be a bit funny [I liked playing...
