The way I see it is VATS is the only thing keeping this game from playing like an FPS and that has to be a good thing. I'm not going to play it at all unless it turns out to be a real RPG, but if I do play it anything that cuts down on the "twitch" will be much appreciated.

I agree. It was one of my concerns when I heard Beth was going with FPP. The perspective in FO1&2 helped keep the "bloody mess" deaths comic. If I play FO3 I don't think I will go with the OTT deaths.
