Inside the Vault - Emil Pagliarulo

I love the "we're not at liberty to divulge" type stuff. Why not just be honest? They withhold info, to build hype. Let people's imaginations fill in the particulars, and they will build something up in their mind, that is better than your product. That way they can say things...

    Fallout 3 Interviews

There was no tie though. Even in the beginning, the debate was between "They are gonna make it RT and screw it up" and the other side of the argument took the: "We don't know that yet. No info has been released." I am pretty sure that Bethesda didn't consider turn based combat...

Yes. And I love sex. Loving something doesn't mean you're good at it.....

    Kieron Gillen interviews Pete Hines

Difference being....Peter Jackson making a Star Wars film, probably would be better than those shitty prequels Lucas made. I actually think Star Wars fans would appreciate it, if Lucas decided that those prequels needed a re-do. 2nd chance at it. It's got some good material there. No pod...

    Violence & Fallout 3

Quentin Tarantino style violence, is not just Kill Bill. Fallout should have more of a gritty feel to it. Not a fantasy type Kung Fu violence. It should be more Pulp Fiction, or Reservoir Dogs, rather than Kill Bill.

    Glowing Grounds

Nice stuff. The gas mask cowboy, and the overhead shot of the trading post, are my two favorites.

Emil Pagiarulo: Fallout 3 can not be finished without combat

No worries....a charismatically inclined person can get 3 or 4 companions to help him....oh wait. Only one companion you say? Never mind then. I've always thought a Fallout game, without a central "bad guy" would be the best way to go in these respects. For example, say you're doing the...

GameShark: Fallout 3 a new breed of RPG

What? Does this sound lame to anyone else? Why do they keep trying to imply that VATS is somehow semi-turn based?

    360 Magazine article contents

That is another odd thing I've noticed about the gaming media. They line up to flatter game developers. They are unable to be critical, due to their fan-hood.

    360 Magazine article contents

Capitalism allows for this to happen, but it's not the cause. Greed is not caused by money. How do you distribute a "free mag" widely? That costs money to do. Writers won't write for free. You can't print for free. You can't ship the magazine for free. WTF? Basically, you want to have...

    360 Magazine article contents

^That is odd, isn't it. For a fan base that is constantly criticized as "not mattering" and whatnot, they sure do talk about it a lot. And if change is inevitable, why hasn't the basic concept of Elder Scrolls changed? eta: Seriously though? Genius?

    Fallout 3's "200 endings"

That's a safe bet to take.

    Fallout 3's "200 endings"

^ I think the jump from 12 to 200 was part of their PR. When Bethesda hypes, they like to go way overboard. That's why you got a lot of "You will never need another game" type reviews for Oblivion. The sad thing is, this seems to be a similar type of end cutscene as the original, but...

    Fallout 3's "200 endings"

If that's how they're counting endings, how was 12 ever a viable option? This makes no sense.

    Letting Go of Fallout Editorial

There is no defending that article you wrote. It's garbage. No offense. The people who insist it is a bad game, back up their arguments. Which you failed to do in your argument, declaring it the best game of the past 4 years. You also claimed it was better than a litany of other titles, for...

    Letting Go of Fallout Editorial

"I loved Oblivion...therefore I will love Fallout 3" "Fallout 3 won't be like Fallout 1 and 2, but I don't care anymore" I didn't quote exactly. But these seem to be 2 points, this person is making. Both of these points seem incredibly immature positions to take, as well as completely...

    Emil is back

Is it just me, or is Emil's thought process hard to follow logically? Also, this bit is troubling: And also. I agree. I don't get how gameplay can be a subjective thing. I think Bethesda takes the attitude of "We're doing it FP, and RT, because that's better." Plus, even if he feels the...

    OXM article excerpts

This is from the article, and apparently "Kill Bill" is the only Tarantino movie Bethsoft has seen. Unless they are hinting that they are getting at the "black humor" of Pulp Fiction, and Reservoir Dogs. But there is no way that they can touch the level of dark humor that is the "ear scene"...

    Emil Pagliarulo impromptu fan Q&A

I still would like the "Why call it a sequel?" question answered. If they want to do a Fallout game "bethesda style", indicate that on the box. "Bethesda's Fallout: Incineration" Or something lame like that. You get the point.
