Mark Morgan working on the Prey 2 OST

Jason Graves has done some awesome work in the past, looking forward to hearing what they have in store for Prey 2.

    Gamma World: Alpha Mutation announced

This is the guy who broke the Team Bondi news last year, http://twitter.com/veracious_shit/status/105415613656211456 Wonder what happened to Alpha Mutation then (assuming it's true)?

    Bethesda forums hacked again

An angry fan or maybe someone just using it as an event? Remember, a lot of the stuff Sony went through was as a result of the court stuff. It's all just speculation on my end really.

    Bethesda forums hacked again

I wonder if this is connected to the Minecraft/Notch thing?

    Bethesda's preliminary injuction denied, again

I've heard about the project not getting a lot of attention at Interplay until it was finished and in turn became a success but I don't remember the cancellation bit. The name is essentially just a technicality at the end of the day but it's still funny to see how much revisionism still occurs...

Bethesda appeals to the court, again

You should read up on what the lawsuit is about. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Bethesda_v._Interplay

    Bethesda's preliminary injuction denied, again

No, Interplay created Fallout, Black Isle created Fallout 2. There was no such studio as Black Isle when Fallout was developed, it was formed after and not everyone from the Fallout team moved on to BIS for the sequel either. Budget does not equal graphics and not necessarily content either...

GOG puts its Interplay catalogue on sale

It's an Atari game now but it was an Interplay game in the past. It's a pretty good sale, might pick up a few titles I've been eyeing for a while now.

Bethesda hacked, user accounts info compromised

I see, now it's beginning to make sense. The only issue would be to make sure the salt hash itself is secure, which makes sense since I remember hearing Gawker had a "weak salt". Thanks again for the clarification/bearing with me.

Bethesda hacked, user accounts info compromised

Thanks for the clarification, it's starting to make sense now. A SALT is basically something added to data before a MD5 encryption, the SALT hash is (ideally) taken from a different value than the password itself? I think around half of the sites were successfully attacked as a result of a...

Bethesda hacked, user accounts info compromised

Thanks for the clarification, I've mostly worked with MD5 in the past but SALT is something I'm trying to transition to.

Bethesda hacked, user accounts info compromised

Most passwords can be decrypted, it's just a matter of time. Depending what version of the forum software they used the passwords could be encrypted using MD5 or SALT (I believe IPB switched methods a few releases back, MD5 is largely compromised IIRC). I wonder what the exploit was here and...

Great interview, can't wait for the next one!

Bethesda: IPLY intends to undermine F3's plotline

You mean, isn't that valuable for fans of the old games, right? Fallout 3 and New Vegas have sold millions of units, likely more than the previous games combined. The Fallout name is basically a household name for gamers now. The press will likely give a game in the Fallout universe more...

    Gamma World: Alpha Mutation announced

Wasn't the Gamma World series set in a post apocalyptic universe that became such due to nuclear war? I like the 2012 setting they have here, if they were going to change the story for the GW universe, wouldn't it have been better to just create a new IP? It's good that Bedlam is able to find...

Interplay financials: Fallout Online in doubt

Re: yep, resources were listed That can be applied to any title thanks to the "release now patch later" mentality. From what I remember, Allods Online (hate to keep using this example but it's pretty relevant given the budget) was praised for its content. A bigger budget won't guarantee...

Interplay financials: Fallout Online in doubt

Re: yep, resources were listed So what you are saying here if I understand it correctly is that F2P games are released as incomplete titles and the missing content is patched in later after funding is received? On one hand you're saying the MMO budget needs to be in a different league...

    Legendary Fallout modder Prosper interviewed

Congrats? I only know he posts his art from time to time on a few forums I browse, didn't know he was so notorious on these other forums.

Interplay financials: Fallout Online in doubt

Re: Fact checks It shouldn't matter since that's part of the obligations I mentioned (is $30 million required up front, over a period of time, etc). If the obligations haven't been met then no amount of money in the world will fix that unless you renegotiate. Fair enough but the original...

Interplay financials: Fallout Online in doubt

They didn't reveal the monetary value of all their investments but they did reveal that investments were indeed taking place which is what I posted. From the little we know of the lawsuit these deals seem to be what Interplay is using as a defense regarding their funding. Anyone watching from...
