Mark Morgan's "Vault Archives" available again

All of the recent ones pretty much have them. I don't think the source code was edited to include it within the actual games though.

Bethesda claims Interplay could only use the Fallout name

There's a big line from the looks of it a few folks on the Interplay forums are waiting to buy as well but no one is selling. 600 really isn't a lot for a company like Zenimax to buy.

Bethesda claims Interplay could only use the Fallout name

You didn't even bother answering any of my questions and instead resort to trolling but I will entertain myself a bit more. My sources are Google, Bing, and my personal assistant, Jeeves. They did have an office, it's all public record and you are welcome to look it up if you wish, I...

Fallout: New Vegas Dead Money reviews round-up #2

Those who complain about that stuff are probably the same people who say things like, "you play the first Fallout?" when talking about Fallout 3. I guess they must be expecting something similar to the Fallout 3 DLC's where most of them had a heavy emphasis on shooting, weapons, etc.

Bethesda claims Interplay could only use the Fallout name

BOS wasn't a project that had direct support from members of the original team if memory serves right. By potential I mean in terms of how quests can be delivered. You release with X number of quests and later through updates add X more. Ideally they would all be free due to the monthly...

Bethesda claims Interplay could only use the Fallout name

They weren't in bankruptcy and assuming they were and had such a limit, had they not met it, they would be likely be liquidated. And I don't see what that would have to do with Bethesda anyway. Everything else you've mentioned is part of the on going legal case, unless you are on the Bethesda...

    Fallout: New Vegas Steam sale

Got it! Haven't downloaded or installed it yet due to space issues but from what I've read, it should be fine performance wise. Thanks for all the input!

    Fallout: New Vegas Steam sale

It came out of Rebellion Derby (former Tomb Raider devs, those guys had some terrible luck), it was originally being developed by Zombie Studios I believe who lost the game since Bethesda thought they were doing a poor job with it. I think Bethesda had high hopes for the game since they [via...

    Fallout: New Vegas Steam sale

A first person stealth based shooter, what could possibly go wrong?

Bethesda claims Interplay could only use the Fallout name

Well that's all up for debate but there is certainly a lot of story potential here. The Dutch Ghost: Well, after UFO's became more apparent in 3 (I recall references previously but nothing like Zeta) I think something as grounded to reality as Tesla's work could get a pass.

Bethesda claims Interplay could only use the Fallout name

The gameplay would likely be "mmoified" but I'm willing to overlook that if it has a good story.

Bethesda claims Interplay could only use the Fallout name

I don't know about that, there is a chance that in terms of lore and everything Interplay could make a good Fallout game which would only strengthen the franchise as a whole. But if they were to (going back to the poker example) make a crappy poker game called Fallout it would only hurt the...

Bethesda claims Interplay could only use the Fallout name

Right but the example is still valid, what good would any of that do if they could only call an MMO Fallout as long as it didn't have anything to do with the franchise? They could still make the poker game, assuming it was multiplayer only.

Bethesda claims Interplay could only use the Fallout name

Is this under section 3.4? It seems they are simply saying anything created for the game is property of Interplay assuming it isn't in the launched product and doesn't make reference to any of Bethesda's Fallout stuff. But at the same time, what good would that section be if Bethesda only...

Bethesda claims Interplay could only use the Fallout name

Yes you're right, what I meant to say was that's likely how it was interpreted by Interplay. It's all down to the judge now to see how they interpret it unless Interplay has something to counter that with. The filing itself wouldn't cover the Trilogy would it? If that's the case, it would be odd...

Bethesda claims Interplay could only use the Fallout name

One of the marvels of the justice system, in the end it's all down to interpretation. Now that I'm reading over the SEC filing, I can kind of see where Bethesda's claim is relevant. However, in the report Bethesda refers to everything that was sold as the "Licensed Marks"...

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

I highly doubt they've been able to put together a new engine that runs and looks better than Gamebyro in four months. PC Gamer sources the community manager so it doesn't really change anything either. Howard is the only person who can clear this up.

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

On the engine thing, Todd Howard said in August of this year that BGS's next project would use Gamebyro. I doubt they were able to build a new engine in the 4 months or so since then. Most likely just a modification. Even if it is, I'm pretty excited to see what this modified version of...

F:NV Patch out for PS3, coming to Xbox360 and PC next week

Been a while since I've followed the AP patch controversy but is it the same patch that no one really knows what it does? [if that made sense] In hindsight, that's a good point. Obsidian has generally been good with patches but I guess it depends on the publisher more than anything else.
