Arabic peoples and communities in the Fallout universe?

According to Van Buren, which is dubious, Mormons purchased places in Vault 70. This would make some sense, Vaults were expensive to build. And why would Vault Tec turn down free money when the Mormons only care about their own surviving and the rest of us be damned? Also, why Mormons? You could...

Arabic peoples and communities in the Fallout universe?

That was me. Mormons don't care about outsiders. They also don't maintain charities to help people now. They hoard things and money to help in the off chance that there is some sort of emergency. So it makes sense that the Mormon church bought a Vault instead of building hospitals and schools or...

Arabic peoples and communities in the Fallout universe?

As for other religions not appearing, it is weird. Not all of what ever religion would live somewhere that would get bombed and rural areas wouldn't have gone down hill as quickly. I'd imagine there are some rural areas where there are Jewish, Buddhist, or what have you religions living because...

    Fallout 4 New San Francisco

I feel you. I would like to see Minnesota or Wisconsin in a game and I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area. There are a lot of reasons why another game should be set around San Francisco. I would expect a game set in between Fallout 2 and New Vegas. The story revolving around the Shi taking more...

Fallout 4: Does anyone else find the pre-war opening contrived?

I just don't understand how the wife and child bit is a good way to motivate me through the game. I was talking to a friend about this, why would his family be a driving concern once the 200 year time skip settled in? There isn't a reason to be motivated to look for you child. Your hypothetical...

    Fallout 4 New San Francisco

I see the point but disagree. They descended from the crew of a Chinese submarine. They had military organization and had time to scavenge technology before the BoS or NCR came into existence or spread around the waste. A Chinese cultural group seems weird with all of the 1950's Americana...

Arabic peoples and communities in the Fallout universe?

One reason for having the Mormons around is they are easier to mock. No one really gives a damn about them and there church is weird and if you do some digging, is corrupt. Hell the own tracts of land and for profit businesses, but don't have hospitals, schools, homeless shelters and the like...

    Fallout 4 New San Francisco

Being ahead of the curve isn't a bad thing necessarily. They could provide a decent competitor to the NCR in California. Their organizational skills and technology would make for a quick start for a nation. Thus competitor to the NCR. Maybe not a powerful one, but enough to cut the NCR out of...

Would anyone take issue with the Enclave in future games?

The Brotherhood of some stripe will appear. I'm of a wait and see mentality with them showing up again.

How Come Sacramento Isn't in Fallout 2?

Another thing I just learned about the South Bay/Silicon Valley is that back before computers, there was a strip of air craft designers and manufacturers between San Jose and Oakland. That could have been a target as well as the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

Arabic peoples and communities in the Fallout universe?

But no matter how trained you are to survive doesn't help if you don't take shelter when there is a warning. As far as we know, so far all Mormons descend from a Vault, not from regular people running around in Utah. There are likely other survivors based off Mormonism, like the Sorrows. But...

Arabic peoples and communities in the Fallout universe?

I'm kind of surprised there are no Jewish groups in Fallout. Mostly because the Jews have had literally gotten the brunt of humanities and come out the other side. Or why they didn't get a Vault like the Mormons did. As for Mormons surviving after the bombs hit, I wouldn't expect them too, at...

This is why I prefer New Vegas. Why or why dont you?

There is the Camp Forlorn Hope/Nelson quest, the family in Cottonwood, the Omerta quest and the Van Graff quest that don't directly link into the main quest. I understand the allure of the older games, the quests that hinted rather than had action, but large organizations like the NCR and Legion...

    Underpopulation of...pretty much everywhere?

Still they never annoyed me, I thought of them as moving set dressing.

Is New Vegas crippled by bad writing?

I never like the quest markers in Oblivion, 3 and New Vegas more because of inaccuracy rather than why should I know where something is. This is more of an Oblivion/3 complaint since New Vegas didn't have interiors that really led to this being a problem. If you were in a multistory...

Is New Vegas crippled by bad writing?

And this is why objective people like me think you're blinded by nostalgia. I'm perfectly willing to call out 3's generic story and Bethesda's attempts to distract me from its flaws by giving me a sandbox to play with when I'm bored. New Vegas didn't give me that courtesy. Saint's Row gave me...

Does Nuking both Nations at the end of LR destroy them?

Hanlon complained about how the NCR is under supplied and over stretched, same with the arms dealer in the 188. And many other NCR NPCs made similar remarks.

    Underpopulation of...pretty much everywhere?

I never found the kids outside of Lamplight as annoying. They just run around and occasionally say hi. They did the same thing in Skyrim and it didn't bug me. It would also add to the population without confusing you as to who dispenses quests.

Arabic peoples and communities in the Fallout universe?

A survivalist mindset and freeze dried food doesn't save you if you don't go into a bomb shelter before they hit. You can't live to see another day if you get vaporized on 10/23/2077.

    Women outside the Legion?

The family in Cottonwood Cove is said to have a bad father or at least a coward. Based on 1950's gender roles you could expect mysoginy in the NCR, but until we see it we can't prove it and talking about it is a waste of time. As for the Legion, for all we know, wives could be treated well by...
