By the time of New Vegas, will forests have returned to the world?

It is still likely in unexplored parts of the Wasteland that there is civilization going. Just because Portland, Seattle, Toronto, Richmond, Houston haven't had contact with the NCR that there aren't new nation states forming their. Like one of the posts before me said, if factions can make...

Does Nuking both Nations at the end of LR destroy them?

As far as the NCR is concerned, they aren't doing to well anyways. It wouldn't surprise me if the NCR loses Baja or areas near the Shi in future games because they can't maintain their power over such a large area. They can't even take the Mojave, that must mean there are supply issues at the...

Is New Vegas crippled by bad writing?

New Vegas does make the plot leap from revenge to now your the center of a struggle for power in the region for no reason other than you followed through on your desire for revenge. Our investment in the NCR is hey they look like pre WW2 USA and they're corrupt, allegory for American society...

    Underpopulation of...pretty much everywhere?

The only thing about the population that really bugged me was the lack of kids. I know kids cost resources, but Megaton only had 2 kids over 30 or so people, Big Town, Arefu, Canterburry and Rep of Dave only had like 3 or less kids. There isn't even a way for the population to continue at its...

    "Advanced Power Armour Mk II"

As far as there being people and manufacturing capabilities in Raven Rock and other locals, the answer to that is likely yes. A facility the size of Raven Rock would have needed people to maintain them, these people would have likely lived in the facility and rode out the war there. Prior to...

    Your least favorite FO3 quest.

You can have a ranked list of bad quests and good ones. I dislike New Vegas on the whole, but there were still some well written characters and factions I liked. I thought the setting and main quest was shit, but that doesn't mean there aren't good and bad parts. For example, I think the slave...

People ignoring the sirens on 10-23-2077

People aren't going to assume they're screwed and just wait to die. People in the 50's built fallout shelters to ride out the possibility of a nuclear war. There were also public bomb shelters in US cities back then. Hell, the university I went to even had a Fallout Shelter sign on a entrance...

Arabic peoples and communities in the Fallout universe?

As for the Mormons stock piling food, that only helps them if they went into fallout shelters when the sirens went off. Since most people on the West Coast didn't take the sirens warning, a lot of people died. And Salt Lake City got hit just as hard as other parts of the West, so its easy to...

People ignoring the sirens on 10-23-2077

This always bugged me, as someone who lives near a refinery, we have shelter in place drills that are preceded by the old nuke sirens. We know that the first week of a month around noon there will be a drill. and its always on a week day. I was wondering why so few people would have taken...

This is why I prefer New Vegas. Why or why dont you?

Let me just say this in the most obvious way possible, I think the Legion is one dimensional, not Caesar himself. I thought he was a well done, if not over confident character. But that doesn't mean the Legion, or a good chunk of the main quest should be called "good" because Obsidian made a few...

You get to take over the Mojave with absolute power,

I was thinking using the Kings/Followers making their own independent thing and pushing out NCR influences as much as possible, except the Gun Runners because you know, guns.

    Your least favorite FO3 quest.

I really, really, really dislike the Replicated Man quest. It was boring and not at all well written. Digging into Harkness's story was only a means to me getting a Plasma Rifle before the Enclave showed up. It is one of the reasons I'm luke warm to Fallout 4 being set in Boston. The only reason...

The Family is actually a neat ideas

The Blood Ties quest to me started out as a job and I liked the twist. It was an interesting quest. I wasn't expecting it, but I wanted to play it once it started. And quite honestly who cares about a reward when you wonder into a cult that drinks blood to temper their cannibalism? It shouldn't...

    Bethesda's Fallout 4: Continuity Breaker

The vertibird display in Fallout 3's Smithsonian said they weren't going to be rolled out until the 2080's. That could just be laziness on the part of Bethesda not wanting to make a helicopter or it could have been a prototype, honestly who cares about it. In was also established that the East...

Places you'd like to see a Fallout game take place

I would like to see the Pacific Northwest. There wouldn't be any of the known factions from the other games, with the possible exception of the Followers and some Enclave that survived the oil rig and their kids. Other than that, it would be a blank slate. All new factions would have to be...

I want to hear ideas for new factions/organizations

One idea that I was thinking of that was in relations to Fallout Tactics. It was implied that there was some sort of coordinated reconstruction plan for the Vaults after the bombs fell, this isn't true because of the nature of the Vaults. My idea is that there are some secret Vaults out there...

This is why I prefer New Vegas. Why or why dont you?

I have explored, I just never thought of the Boomers. I always felt that the Legion just exists so the developers could check "villain" off on a checklist. They don't have any redeeming value. They could have thrown the Midwestern BoS is and it would have made the game slightly more interesting.

How Come Sacramento Isn't in Fallout 2?

As for cities being intact, well at least DC was based off blowing up Megaton, the nukes were a few time more powerful than the Hiroshima bomb. On bomb in Megaton blew up like 2 square miles. Springvale and surrounding ruins weren't even touched, hell raiders and Moira survived in Springvale. If...

There is still a little bit hope for Fallout 4... right?

There are things I hope Bethesda has learned, and I'm saying some of these as a fan of TES. Oblivion VS Skyrim aspects 1. Copy/Pasted caves and building interiors are OK so long as the quests that go on in or around them are entertaining. Look up the Dark Brotherhood quest line in Oblivion and...
