Great work, a really interesting read. Having a history of the Fallout fanbase is quite useful to a Fallout newbie such as myself.

Well, actually, Iranians get quite a bit of information - not through national news, but just about everyone has satellite TV (despite it being illegal - but the police don't care, you can plainly see the dishes on the houses in Tehran), so they're actually quite clued-up.

Which is why I really, really hope that, if a war is to start, it starts whilst my grandparents are in England.

Note: Pretty much only the Iranian government denies the holocaust etc. the Iranian people are pretty decent (this comes first hand - I'm half Iranian). And also, a regional war would be a terrible, terrible thing.

Did you try playing it online? Singleplayer is fun and all, but the real meat of the game is in the multiplayer.

There isn't a big story to how I discovered Fallout, all the games journos ranted on about how great it was and I always wanted to play it, but it was impossible to find a copy (and I wasn't paying an exorbitant amount of money for it on e-bay), and then last year the collection (1, 2 & tactics)...

I'd probably live in The Hub - there'd always be something to do, I'd probably roll with the caravans for a while, between there and Junktown. I'd also drink and gamble my life away in the Maltese Falcon.

I'd go with FO1, the style was just perfect, and FO2 just didn't replicate it readily enough.
