    lessons of World War 2?

Thanks, its been a while and I forgot the exact wording. :) Actually, I do...I'm sure we all remember what happened to that king/government.

What to do with David Hicks?

This kind of makes me think about the happy little traitor John Walker Lindh who, by the way, was only sentenced to 20 years. It was just great how his attorney and family cleaned him up and explained how he was just an unfortunate rich kid who didn't know what he was doing. After that, it was...

    lessons of World War 2?

I have three things to say: 1. The French should remember who really liberated them from Nazi rule. 2. If the French side with China...well then, you can't make an omelette without breaking a few heads, err eggs. 3. If the Chinese really want to learn from French tactics...

    Guantanamo Hilarity

I couldn't have said it better. I thought he was a really good president, he seemed more 'down to Earth' than the rich snobs from previous years. I always get a kick out of the video clip of him and Boris Yeltsin laughing their asses off at some podium.

    Guantanamo Hilarity

3a. War, no. However many people blame Bill Clinton for not doing enough to stop terrorism. People just keep yammering on about how his lack of action led to 9/11. 4a. Not Communism, but we have lots of friendly, lets suck the life out of the American economy, Mexicans just waiting to sneak...

    Guantanamo Hilarity

Its not like I wrote the Patriot Act, I'm just saying what it details. Sometimes, people won't want to tell you what they know because they don't like you or are working for 'the other side'. That's why there are interrogations. Yes, there are many forms of interrogation take don't involve...

    Guantanamo Hilarity

Enemy terrorists (aka enemy combatants) deemed as such by (I think) military commanders are not recognized as prisoners of war and therefore, have no rights accorded to POWs. I think this was spelled out in the Patriot Act. So, it doesn't matter where they are held...they have no rights...

Not Totally Idiotic Article by Ms. Coulter

I'm an atheist...MUST KILL MUST KILL MUST KILL MUST KILL!!!! Sorry, our brain implanted networking chips are giving those commands again...sorry. Let's face it, the Romans killed Jesus because they viewed him as a religious leader who threatened their religion and order in that area.

    Israel's wall

I used to be pretty even in my opinions regarding Israel and the Palestinian people. However, the images of Palestinians dancing in the streets on 9/11 have been burned into my mind. Its strange how some memories can still be so clear... Now, my view regarding Palestinians is that all...

    Gay marriage

Its funny how people have suddenly forgotten what "all men are created equal" and "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" stand for in this country. There's also that little thing about the separation of church and state... Didn't you get the memo? We let the Supreme Court do that for...

    Racism: Why?

It was a bit stupid to do, but black speakers around here do it all the time. Especially during 'Black History Month'. He was just tired of blacks saying they were proud to be black, but calling any white person saying he was proud to be white a racist. They always use the excuse that white...

    Racism: Why?

Actually, here there are many scholarships only available to blacks, hispanics, asians, etc. Sure, they have to be smart or write a good enough essay, but white people aren't allowed to apply. I meant the general idea of the article was one I liked...I just skimmed it. :) Don't forget...

    Racism: Why?

Damn you for making me get off my lazy ass and type a reply. :) I'd love it if all scholarships were based on need and merit only. I'm just pissed off at some people's reactions in my region over things like this mentioned scholarship. If someone around here said he was proud to be white...

    Racism: Why?

I think its a good idea. Why shouldn't whites be proud of their race? Why shouldn't whites have their own scholarships? IMO, anyone calling this ridiculous but supporting 'minorities only' scholarships is nothing but a hypocrite.

    Internet tennis

SHUT UP!!! Don't give them any ideas... Did anybody ever go to a site where you had to think of a number and then perform some sort of addition/subtraction or something and then click a button to have the computer display a number? I went to a site like that and the computer's answer...

Leftist article for the war on Iraq

You can only use diplomacy to say 'or else' so many times before you should actually commit to 'or else'. Good 'ole Teddy Roosevelt was right when he said, "Speak softly and carry a big stick." 8)

    Racism: Why?

While we're on this topic, I got one of those 'pass it on' emails the other day. It maskes some good points and others are 'out there', but here it is: Is Andy Rooney the only sane one left? Andy Rooney (for those of you that don't know is an 82 year old US TV commentator) who said on 60...

    Racism: Why?

I did a paper on fascism once, too. I decided to go where I could probably get a good understanding of it...any guesses...any at all? Heh, the happy people over at americannaziparty.com seem to be a 'fun' sort of people. The conspiracy theories involving muds, negroids, and zog...

Carsten Strehse of SSE talks about the Fall and Fallout 3

Still, I think BioWare is getting better with their depictions of good and evil. KOTOR was pretty good with the paths you could take and their consequences. A little polishing could help but they are getting better, IMO.
