    Fallout 3: Quests

I blew up Megaton, did all the slaver quests including Bumble, killed pretty much every person (except the unkillable "friend") in Vault 101, and still ended up with positive Karma at the end. The only good things I did were rescuing Red (enslaving her afterwards) and helping to defend Big Town...

Uh huh. They certaintly did things by their book; that much is true. Copy and paste.

Fallout 3 GotY: Gamasutra PC #1, Edge #27

Please don't give them any more ideas. We're already halfway to 1984sville.

UGO interviews Jeff Gardiner on DLC

True, although the method through which it accelerates the projectile is more akin to energy weapons - using a series of EM fields. I think it would've been better to have a general marksmanship skill which governs all fired weapons, and have the specific weapons skills impart smaller bonuses.

Bethesda Vs. Black Isle: Sex, Brats, And Addiction

And King's Bounty, which can be considered an RPG of sorts, but not an AAA title. Also in the vein of JA, you have Silent Storm and its spinoffs. Seems like most of the decent turn-based games are coming from Russian devs.

    Fallout 3 Editorials

Many games have been rushed out recently - FO3, Fable 2, GoW 2, all quite buggy. I think under normal circumstances, most of these games would've been released in late November/early December. The fact that the economy is going to fold quite badly in the coming months seems to have forced a...

How many of these idiot reviews have promulgated this hideous bastard of a lie?

    Fallout 3 reviews round-up #49

Agreed. His name is actually Fawkes, and you must be joking. He's another cardboard tag-along who becomes available in the last 10 minutes of the main plot. With him and his gatling laser, there's little need to fight at all at the end, since he pretty much mows everyone down by himself. Why...

    Kotaku: Fallout 3 is broken

How does that explain the purported console problems then?

    NMA: Fallout 3 impressions

Bullshit. You would've gotten TES 5. It's difficult for me to fathom how so many people find FO3 entertaining. For me, it was one the most boring and empty gaming experiences I've had over the last several years. It reminded me most of Hellgate: London, same kind of feeling while playing. I...

    Fallout 3 reviews round-up #39

Bad modeling is the artist's fault, not the engine. The engine may require lower poly count models, but there's no excuse for bad proportions and design. My models, which look worlds apart from those pics posted earlier are only 12K faces, which is pretty much a standard count these days. Even...

    Fallout 3 reviews round-up #39

If you get the user-made mesh mods for Oblivion, they are far superior to anything found in either FO3 or vanilla Oblivion. They should've used those "amateur" models instead of their in-house "professional" stuff. I've done quite a bit of 3D modeling myself and my latest stuff (human...

It's definitely a good idea to reserve judgement until one actually finishes the game. The whole sequence of events at the end dropped my opinion of the game from simply mediocre to bad.

Good for them. They managed to make it right before the onset of a massive worldwide depression. From this point forward, however, games will be the least of anyone's concerns.

    Fallout 3 reviews round-up #28

I couldn't go any longer than 11-12 hours before I became bored with it. Even with Oblivion, I was able to eek out a little over 20 hours before I completely lost interest. The only single-player game I've ever been able to put more than 50 hours into was/is X3: Reunion/Terran Conflict. I've...

    Fallout 3 reviews round-up #24

Having slogged through the game myself, these reviews are just a big bag of lols. They did the same with GTA 4, and Fable 2 apparently (I haven't played it nor do I ever intend to), and pretty much every other title from a big publisher (EA, Microsoft, 2K, etc.).

    Fallout 3 - First Mods

No number of mods could make it a good (not mind-numbingly boring) game in my eyes. Just like with Oblivion, the mods can make it look better, improve the UI, and correct some of the scaling and loot imbalances, but it's still Oblivion at it's heart. I'm finding Dead Space, which is...
