15 Coolest Games of the Fall

So he's writing off the ones knowledgeable on Fallout as a "vocal minority"? That is pretty much like saying "I don't believe germs cause disease, even though experts say they do". I guess Semmelweis could be considered a "vocal minority" back in the day. It doesn't make it any less right...

    Gamer.no previews Fallout 3

No problem whatsoever! Feels good to be able give something back to the hard working community here for once. Anyway, the Norwegian in the article isn't particularly good, so it's kinda hard to see where he's going with the dialogue-tree thing. I don't think it's straight-out criticism. I...

    Gamer.no previews Fallout 3

The source material wasn't the best. Nonetheless, here's a quick and rough translation: "It's hard to believe that the guy who showed us the game, Pete Hines, was from Bethesda's PR department. Firstly, he didn't seem particularly enthusiastic. Secondly, he had chosen to put emphasis on, in...

Voice acting - Liam Neeson has lead role in Fallout 3

Well, I just presented it to you as it was presented to me. I too think it's a bit strange that Killian supposedly is making his reprise here. However, the author IS talking about FO3, no doubt about it. And the site itself is usually quite reliable. Below is a very quick and rough...

Voice acting - Liam Neeson has lead role in Fallout 3

Yeah, the horribly unfitting accent. As far as I know, there's a shitload of people on the East Coast who are of Irish ancestry. His accent is the least of our concerns (Bethesda's ability to give Neeson a good script being the biggest). I deem this good news. Anyways, according to Norwegian...

    Bit-Tech.net: Fallout should be remastered?

I'd love to see FO1 with more talking heads and hi-res graphics. In-game cinematics I couldn't care less about.

Fallout 3 headed to XBox? Not unlikely

First of all, Fallout 3 will inevitably arrive on consoles. The console market is just too lucrative to look away from. Bethesda have been financially successful with Oblivion on the 360, and I'm sure the PS3 version will also sell well. However, I strongly hope that Bethesda will base...

    SA reviews Restricted Area

I don't mind if Masterblaster/-bater enjoys playing RA, and I'm sure most people here don't mind either. Thing is, NMA is a CRPG community, and therefore not the right place to praise hack'n'slash games. It's somewhat like swearing in church. Believeing that you'll get positive feedback is quite...

Interplay goes to file yet again

Great! Correct me if I'm wrong, but 0.04 million = 40,000 and 0.014 million = 14,000, right? Then, I guess I made about $ 0.0001 million at work today.

    Fallout 3 Poster

According to what I've read so far on the development of F3, I believe it's very unlikely that Bethesda is going to release anything but maybe some concept art at present. When asked about when screenshots may surface, MrSmileyFaceDude replied the following in this thread: As this was...

Notch another one up for RA

Without wanting to poop anybody's party, I'll be on-topic. I enjoyed Diablo for it's pure meaninglessness, and a cyberpunk setting would probably fit the hack 'n' slash (or whatever it's equivalent may be as the game focuses on firing guns more than hacking and slashing) genre well. In other...

    NPC voices and dialog

I'd say it would be safe to assume that this applies to Fallout 3 as well. I believe the commercial success of Kotor 1 and 2 set the new standard considering voice acting in RPGs. I always wanted the characters in the Fallout games to have voices (the talking heads were a real treat when they...

    Fbos worst of 2004?

Yep. But Chronicles of Riddick was actually a surprisingly good game.

Fallout fans being the true connoisseurs in this department, I hope they're right.

    Rate the avatar above yours.

For some reason I find Luke's avatar funny as it seems to resemble a stoned Greek god. In my opinion, it's quite unique as well, so I'd give it an 8.5.

    Hard Drive Question

In my case, that would be huge amounts of music. I've got a 160 gig and I'm struggling to maintain free space.

    Metalheart demo!

Thanks, pal! The screenshots look awesome, but as previously stated, the plot and the dialogue are the crucial parts of an RPG. This Sergey Lakhtin seems to speak English rather well, but to make a good dialogue, one will need someone with outstanding English skills.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines for the 16th

First reviews are in and the critics seem to be rather satisfied with it, giving it a 94 and a 90/100 score. http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/vampirethemasqueradebloodlines/ Now that's good news for Troika!
