so... anyone try the DLC yet?

Since it's a simulator, rediculious is bound to happen. Agreed though, the last fight is stupid. For a simulator about the first use of T-51bs in combat, I find it very dumb to not only prevent you from using on in said simulator, but have the only time they're actually used stop right outside...

The real issues with Fallout 3, in my opinion.

True. However, the Scourge occured after they arrived on the East Coast. Really, there isn't anything that I can recall that actually talks about the trek over. On another note, my mind now envisions a Brotherhood of Steel Reverse-Oregon Trail game.

The real issues with Fallout 3, in my opinion.

Hadn't realized it took them that long. That being the case, there's 3 likely reasons. 1.) They did walk, which is the simplest explanation. 2.) The vehicles were in a state of "barely working" or something. Repaired just enough to run well, but bound to break many times in the journey...

The real issues with Fallout 3, in my opinion.

Well, it isn't a vault that they're trying to get tech from, but a military facility. Personally I find the situation "The door is locked by a simulator!" just plain daft, but whatever there. As far as contact goes, I believe they're still working on it, considering they're only recently a...

so... anyone try the DLC yet?

Beat the DLC last night. I found the last bit of the simulation interesting until...well, I found out you didn't even have to go to into the Refinery or Chimera plant there. Just...blow up some tanks and kill a general who is outside the stronghold. Honestly, the whole thing made the T-51bs...

DLC Content and Modding - not allowed by Bethesda

Aye, that would be the best solution I'd assume. And I did notice a lot of the DLC was retextures of current items - makes sense in a lot of cases though, what with the items being in a simulation that wasn't post-nuclear and thus make all weapons extremely worn looking. Same goes with...

    Oh-My-God-There-Was-A-Giant-Bear-Behind-Me

Also don't forget the Roach stomp in Fallout 3, or the alteration in unarmed fighting with the Power fist. No idea of anything else.

DLC Content and Modding - not allowed by Bethesda

I can see that being the issue with armors, but guns....well, that's a unique situation. Take the Gauss Rifle for example. It has a unique reloading animation that's separate from the model. So really, if one was to release a scopeless version with different ammo mechanics.... well, it still...

so... anyone try the DLC yet?

I dunno if buying all 3 in the same pack will be better, though. Taxes included, not to mention they'll probably inflate the price a bit more than 30 bucks, it'll probably be cheaper just to yoink them off Live. Concerning the Gauss Rifle, I can completely agree with the ammo amount per clip...

    Oh-My-God-There-Was-A-Giant-Bear-Behind-Me

No, didn't even come close to seeing that. If anything, Yao Guai's move more like the bears in Oblivion if they're going to be compared to something. Deathclaws look more like Hungers and their movement reminds me more of a combination of Hungers, Clannfears, and Scalons. Trolls moved more...

    Classic Power Armor pictures

I dunno, were they much taller in Fallout 1 and 2? I can't recall really. And I just read a bit more on the Van Buren armor too. They redesigned it even then because of the same problems that Fallout 3 would've had with the armor IF they kept with the original design. Clipping would've been...

so... anyone try the DLC yet?

Broken Steel will be combat-based too I'm sure, which is tragic. I like Operation Anchorage thus-far if only because it has a different feel at least from the rest of the game. Step in the wrong direction though when it comes to adding more freeplay elements though.

    Classic Power Armor pictures

Ehh there are still clipping errors even with how they set up the armor. Looking at the intro video screenshots, the major deviation just seems to be the upper area's size, though. In the video of Mr. Armor shooting Mr. Canadian, the upper body looks extremely large yet the legs appear to be...

    Classic Power Armor pictures

Is it really that far off in looks? I only thought the backside was slightly off, if anything... The intro video of Fallout 1 shows a few Power Armors in a bit more detail then the normal sprites. Black and white though, and also still a bit small in comparison to talking heads and the like.

Sulik has the greatest dialog of all games

Ah, thank you. Yeah, now I remember "Minsc and Boo: READY!" At least I remembered he's a ranger though - first time I saw him I thought he was the classic barbarian. My favorite dialogue in Fallout 2 had to be calling up the Enclave Officer though. Favorite voice was definitely Frank Horrigan's.

Sulik has the greatest dialog of all games

Hey, I'll have you know that that was a talking space hampster named Boo! I forget the Ranger's name though. I enjoyed his battlecry though. "GO FOR THE EYES, BOO!" Sulik does not have the best dialogue though. I think that honor goes to Dead Cousin Ted in Maniac Mansion 2 : Day of the Tentacle.

The real issues with Fallout 3, in my opinion.

Hm, Now that you mention it you're right, there is no general accent seen in text. However, There is Hakunin, which I was originally to originally, who apparently speaks differently then everyone else in the tribe because he's a witch doctor. Seriously, Arroyo just took the tribal theme to...

As far as I'm concerned,Fallout 3 never happened. *spoilers*

Well I can think of a few things here... 1.) Super mutants are interested in adults alone for both meals and creating more muties. It could stand to reason that the Super Mutants are just simply uninterested in the kids because they're either barely a meal (They have to be scrawny kids with...

Why do so many people here think First Person excludes RPG?

And I'll have to look into those. I hadn't heard of them before... though I can see why. A lot of those seem to have been made before I was even in elementary school, let alone born when it comes to the Wizardry games. *shrug* I'll see if I can find them though. Well Oblivion's failure is in...

As far as I'm concerned,Fallout 3 never happened. *spoilers*

Kids are still there because of the Big Town/Little Lamplight combination. Adults in Little Lamplight are sent to Big Town. Considering the nature of people, Big Townians have kids despite the fact that it's a harsh wasteland area. They send their kids to Little Lamplight and the cycle...
