The dev team thinks of everything

Magnus, I'm assuming you are trying to do pretty much exactly what the one reviewer said they were doing (PC gamer?), but even they said it becomes increasingly impossible. Now imagine if Bethesda was competent at making an RPG and actually did present multiple interesting paths to...

The dev team thinks of everything

How would you be clearing the 'kill all the people in this building' quests or even the Museum part getting to Gravy in the first place. Letting Codsworth do all of it? I imagine you'd be doing it in a roundabout way by waiting and waiting as Codsworth AI does the killing, while also it...

The dev team thinks of everything

I was thinking pretty much the same thing. They will have to reduce the playable races down to 2, maybe 3, but that would be pushing it since they would have to record both male and female voices. If it is the Black Marsh, it'll probably be playable Human, Argonian, and the maybe third...

Fallout 4 gameplay videos leaked, Bethesda starts taking them down

Makes sense since one of the first priorities was the obviously all important nude mod, that adds the so called 'immershun' feature they couldn't get from the Pornhub game.

First round of Fallout 4 Reviews

I have to agree. If some would let the hype fall out of their head and objectively look at the beginning of the game, its easy to see your role is the one Bethesda wants you to be in 3 easy examples: 1. Low or High Int does not change what you say or how you sound 2. The person the player...

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

I think so too. Hell, every Witcher game has been worth my time and money. FO3 and Skyrim bored me to tears, then I went back to Witcher 1 first and loved it (almost 100 hours) while Bethesda's games remained unfinished or just sitting on my game shelf collecting dust. I actually prefer and...

    Cabot House (SPOILERS)

Assassin's Creed did it too though. Having aliens for 'high sci-fi' is fine if its a main concept but the way the OP describes this quest seems like its simply there to be a drawn out joke - but frankly isn't. Its like all those random easter eggs in FO 1/2 they figured should go beyond just...

There is something 'wrong' with the style of Fallout 4

Dude - Totally go pick up Blade Runner. I highly, highly recommend the newest blu-ray 'final cut' which looks like this for the cover. The extras are worth it too as they talk about the work they did to restore the film. Way better than the huge disappoint that is FO4 anyways. Plus its...

There is something 'wrong' with the style of Fallout 4

Much of this hype reminds me of the long wait for games like Duke Nukem Forever and Aliens: Colonial Marines. Those games were utter trash, but it was funny seeing the mental gymnastics some devotees had trying to find any positive thing about them to justify their long anxious wait.

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

Pretty much. CD Projekt also learns from criticism and genuinely tries to improve with each of their new games. Hell they even fixed and redesigned UI aspects in patches for FREE. I don't take much stock in meta critic, but the PS4 reviews have 79 critic reviews allowed on there and only 1...

I... really, really like Fallout 4. Oh, god.

Here's the thing though - it is entirely possible for a game to have great writing, choices, questing, etc. no matter how the game works mechanically. My favorite examples are the Witcher series. Each game is fairly different in style and scope, but what did they retain? It doesn't take...

First round of Fallout 4 Reviews

I'm assuming or at least hoping most of those user reviews are honest (the positive, mixed, and negative). I would probably give this game between 5-7 as a shooter, but it would score poorly within RPG parameters. I only review games on steam or other sites IF and only IF I have actually...

First round of Fallout 4 Reviews

-Worse or equally worse narratively. + Looks better in shooty-shooting feel (thanks id Software). -Regressive in terms of the level up system. -Worse with immersion breaking (invincible companions) and romancing all the peeps without consequence. ? movement animations slightly improved over...

Fallout 4 PC retail has a 18.8 GB Steam download

CD Projekt included the whole game on the disc when I got Witcher 3.

First round of Fallout 4 Reviews

Exactly what I would have expected out of a Bethesda walking simulator. Sounds like a worthy contender for 5 of my dollars in 2 years to have some laughs at the hammy story and just shoot at shit, because that's all that matters in it. With CD Projekt capable of making a go at open world...

Fallout 4 gameplay videos leaked, Bethesda starts taking them down

I'd rather do a build like this http://www.nukahub.com/tools/special?s=10&p=1&e=10&c=1&i=1&a=1&l=4 to exploit some of the easy skills - plus just to see if you hit a wall and are just unable to get past a certain point just to see if Bethesda accounted for not using INT, PER, or other skills (an...

Fallout 4 gameplay videos leaked, Bethesda starts taking them down

This link contains the alien spoiler from that neogaf thread (aka, the saddest encounter): https://a.pomf.cat/wkpmnm.mp4 If they are going to add Aliens, why not do something different for once instead of adding them as cannon fodder? That could have been an opportunity to make a goofy quest...

Fallout 4 gameplay videos leaked, Bethesda starts taking them down

Main story doesn't matter guyz. The next Bethesda game will have no story now. It'll be Elder Scrolls: Minecraft, DO ANYTHING! Choices and consequences will be either smiley face or a frown.

The making of Fallout 4 - Game Informer article

I guarantee once other reviews hit and if other reviewers do say similar things regarding Bethesda's total lack of improvement in meaningful narrative, writing, companions, and sensical environments - there will be the same "complaints." Nothing less than total praise will be acceptable...
