    Addictions

I think its probably my favorite line from the first Fallout. Its a dialogue option if you're an evil character when talking to Ton in the cathedral. With the drugs, though, if you get hooked on jet the only way to get rid of the addiction is the jet antidote.

Is it worth pushing skill levels above 100%?

I suggest that you read more about the SPECIAL system.

    Addictions

Its different durations for different drugs. I think most only last a few days.

    Constant Crashing

Since I'm a sick bastard, I take units I never use out of the recruits pool - like ghouls, supermutants and deathclaws - and test drugs on them. I seriously messed up this one guy after making him drink all three bottles of yellow nuka-cola.

    Best game music!

For me, its the opening music from both Fallouts, the soundtracks of the first two Command & Conquer games, and the menu screen music from Crusader: No Remorse. The opening number for Unreal 2 ain't bad, either.

Refueling the car in Fallout 2

Don't feel too bad. I probably played through Fallout 2 about twenty times before discovering Red 888 guns in San Fran.

Which of F2 NPCs I`ve to kill for feeling myself happy ? =))

What NPCs I kill depend entirely on how situations develop, but I always enjoy stabbing people in the groin with the Lil' Jesus' knife.

Is it worth pushing skill levels above 100%?

From what I've the "%" symbol after skills is completely meaningless in the SPECIAL system. So go ahead and increase your skills.

    Constant Crashing

I think I'll take that with a grain of salt considering it comes from someone named after a character from FoT with an av from the same. I don't know why it worked fine, but it did. I guess it was about time that computer did SOMETHING right, considering everything else in existence played...

    Constant Crashing

That's pretty weird. I originally played tactics on my mom's P2 400mhz with 512mb SDRAM and onboard graphics, and it worked fine aside from a memory leak problem in the early version of the game. Maybe RAM is the deciding factor for FoT?

    I, Robot

Sorry for getting the thread off-topic. Here's my theory on robot sentience - if we make a true AI, it will not only learn from what are in effect "software upgrades" but from the world around it. If that occurred, the only robots who would be violent would be violent out of personal choice...

Huh. I never knew Canada had a culture. ;)

    FoT speech sound files tutorial

Not a problem. I just want to save people the experience that happened to me trying to get this to work. I spent two days sticking my sound file in every imaginable location until it worked.

I agree compromises have to be made, but in the case of Starship Troopers they removed the very important elements. In the book, the Terran Federation is a society with virtually unlimited personal freedom, the troopers wore power armor and we're launched from their orbitting ships via capsules...

    No-One Smith

According the file, "Andrew [No-one Smith] is a nervous man (cause he's standing next to a bomb), but he's also a little deaf, having worked with explosives most of his life." And that's all she wrote. Well, that and the only line he says in the game.

    No-One Smith

You mean the guy in the bunker you run the Reaver missions from? I'm thinking he was supposed to be a civilian trader, but they never got around to fully implenting him. I'll check the bunker's speech text file... it might have something about him.

    Constant Crashing

Do you have a virus scanner running in the background? Or any other programs? Before you play a game, you should shut down all non-essential stuff using the Task Manager. If that doesn't do it, then backup your savegames and reinstall.

Naval Rail Guns? Take the left aisle then.

They have a working prototype - somewhere in a lab in Nevada or one of those Godforsaken places, I think - that fires big oblong projectiles through multiple brick walls and armor plating. Every prototype they made prior to it was destroyed from the force of firing it. Anybody know the...

    Derek Smart and Freespace 3?

Well, I used to be a Freespace fan. One of the Electronics Boutique people no less than tricked me into buying "Universal Combat". Was I pissed when I loaded it up and found out that it was no less than a sequel to BattleCruiser. My introduction to Battlecruiser was when I found...

    I, Robot

The movie had absolutely nothing to do with the book. Its an okay movie on its own merit, but the book is far superior in every aspect, and having it associated with the movie sullies the name of Heinlein. I'm not going to get in an argument about it here, though. But I will say that...
