Well you need to do it for vista/W7 because there are bugs they cause for some reason when you have the RP installed, like not being able to save games. You know I remember having the same problem but I can't for the life of me remember what caused it, I'll try and see if I can figure it out...

Doesn't that russian TC have a food and water system in it, maybe you could wait to see what you could get from that.

Did you you install fallout into a custom dirictory EG: C:\games\fallout 2 And not C:\program files.
