    Is there anyone left?

If you mean by spreading the map out even more, yes, it's most certainly possible. Certain mods disable the invisible walls at the ends of the map, and it's been shown that there's many many miles of terrain beyond what we've seen in game. The problem is trying to populate larger areas...

    A real vaccine against addiction

Fixer sort of makes it all academic as well. There's at least one quest in New Vegas that deals with this very issue. Then again, Bethesda probably didn't think ahead much and just thought there'd be a miracle panacea for addictions in the game. Their policy has been to not punish players...

    Is there anyone left?

Bethesda fanboys are the ones who want a fresh and clean Fallout game, as evidenced by IGN's editorial. They would rather see the same thing over and over again. (Here's a hint on what they want: They want pretty scenery like in Skyrim, but with guns) We'd like the world to be in the...

The aspect of Fallout 3 that i liked better then New Vegas

The consensus, even among many Elder Scrolls fans, is that Skyrim is generally better than Oblvion, but may not be as good as Morrowind. This does not mean Skyim's "good" writing, just that it's better than Oblivion. I could go on about the plot holes and inconsistencies in Skyrim myself. We...

    A Fallout3 comic

Everytime I see any kind of advertisement that says "A Taste of Things to Come" - I can't help but think of the joke from GTA: San Andreas (where a car knocks out 'Things to').

    Bioware Backlash

I'd like to point out at this point that other games, like L.A. Noire, would let you skip the "action" if you failed at it... a lot. 8-)

    8th generation of consoles

I'm suddenly reminded of that myth that PS-2s were being stockpiled in order to broken down and turned into guidance chips for missiles.

The Quiet Ride - An Old Fanfic

I had originally posted this on FanFiction.net found here, but I've been re-reading it and thought I'd repost it and then perhaps continue it after all this time. Yes, there's quite a few continuity errors, on top of the lore issues. Episode 1: Whiskey In The Jar Redding, 1807 PM, January...

Fallout: Chicago (Includes Thorough Setting and Map)

Yeah, power works way different, which is why everyone has power in DC, despite 200 years of a lack of maintenance. No signs of cutting into that system. No signs of a source for that grid, either. The problem? Dedicated landlines require the above for power. So if the power grid is...

Fallout 3 voted "38th best game ending of all time&quot

No, they already made Arcanum. Skyrim with guns would be more like, uh, Darkest of Days... except better developed.

Fallout: Chicago (Includes Thorough Setting and Map)

They made power lines pretty redundant - enough to continue running after two hundred years with little or no maintenance. Random people are capable of tapping into those lines. Comm Lines between the Pentagon/Raven Rock and individual stations wouldn't be much different.

Fallout: Chicago (Includes Thorough Setting and Map)

It begs further questions, of course. Was the pre-war United States so focused on burying underground power lines, yet not have any failsafe system for communications like simple telephone wires? There's power still running in the Capital Wasteland, but no other utilities such as running...

Fallout: Chicago (Includes Thorough Setting and Map)

Poseidonet works fine, the problem is that the Enclave doesn't have access to all of it or know how big the network actually is. Poseidon was apparently a conglomerate of different companies with what was basically an instant messenger between them, rather than a centralized, unified company...

Fallout: Chicago (Includes Thorough Setting and Map)

There's a lot of "what ifs" that can get involved with the Midwest Brotherhood and Enclave. Number one, we don't know if the Enclave was even in Chicago prior to the Enclave's flight from Navarro, or if the Chicago group is part of that exodus. We actually do not know when the Brotherhood...

Did the prewar-fallout world have some kind of internet?

There is something called an "Intranet" which seems to be there for personnel to communicate directly with each other in an office environment, but it seems limited to proprietary networks. I don't see why there wouldn't be a larger, if a bit more primitive network like the ARPANET of the...

Plot-holes and logical inconsistencies of FO3?

The point of this thread is to point them out and discuss them. If they are the same, then by all means, make it implicitly clear instead of alluding to old complaints, if you don't mind. Like I said, "ad hominem" arguments are logical fallacies and don't do anything to either analyze or...

Plot-holes and logical inconsistencies of FO3?

The big problem I have with Fallout 3's particular approach is that these 'thematic' locations do not show any sort of in-story support for that particular design. Tenpenny Towers is a building full of rich people who are rich because they say they are rich. Little Lamplight is full of...

Plot-holes and logical inconsistencies of FO3?

Dad had two wishes - one was for you to live a full life (in the safety of the Vault however), the other was for the waters of life to be given to everyone without having anyone die. The vanilla ending kind of pushed for you to sacrifice someone for the sake of "Sacrifice." "Why not send in...
