    Fallout 3 at E3 - The Escapist

Now now, we shouldn't deny the right to be humans to those of the 'FPS' finger-twitching generation just because they lack proper imagination and need 'sparkly' graphics to feel immersed in a work of fiction. Hahahaha, That's why they're 'extra levels'! You know, like those hidden...

So the equivalent of 'extra levels' for oblivion is better? :P

Because a pre-alpha internal tech demo is just so comparable to a tailored-for-the-press linear-yet-'branching' OMG-NUKE-GO-BOOM demo. Oh wait, he was prob just comparing the 'next-gen-sparkliness', my bad.

    Fallout 3 at E3 - The Escapist

This suddenly reminds me of the old lucasarts monkey island games. The first two were the best. The later attempts at 3D and what not sucked. At least that franchise seems dead... I can't imagine a 'current gen' monkey island given that the times have 'obviously' moved on. It'd end up...

    Fallout 3 at E3 - Joystiq impressions

After reading that, i wanted to laugh, then i realized they might actually do something like this, and wanted to cry instead.

Oh man... Syndicate... I haven't played that game in eons... it was so fun back in the day... I probably tossed out the CD during a clean up though, don't think I've seen the CD around for a while.

Fallout 3, who is this for?

Yah!!! though... I wouldn't *mind* per se if there was scantily-clad wasterland supermodels in *addition* to all the other good stuff XD

Ya I know its exaggerated, but I'm just tired of using realistic examples because those don't seem to get through... not that the exaggerated ones get through either... but those require less thinking :P

So you go for a different game. That's like saying, I enjoyed Halo, I enjoyed Halo 2, but I want variation.... let's say some sports so please make Halo 3 a sports game. NO YOU GO FIND A SPORTS GAME TO PLAY. K THX BYE.

Game Informer Unlimited FAQ and video

hm..... is it just me or does this sound kinda stupid? What are the minuses to keeping something exclusive to a particular platform that the gamers will care about? Less cashing in? er... can't really think of anything aside from that ONE point, and that's not even for the gamers...

So um.... when/where's the funeral going to be held? =/ On a side note, I love how the answer to the first question is made contradictory by the next few answers.

    Ashley Cheng: nobody's talking

Just because something is more photo-realistic doesn't mean its more immersive... novels have always allowed me to feel more immersed in the 'world' than most movies and games in general. Its not about a photorealistic view from a first person perspective that allows for immersion. It *could*...

    Ashley Cheng: nobody's talking

I think its a result of the current masses confusing Action games with ARPG -> RPG as well as the current slew of MMORPGs (Which aren't really RPGS!) that allow for FP.

Ah yes, you're quite open minded about your flat refusal to *allow* us our bias. Gotta love word games. :P Then again, like someone else said, this is a moot point. :)

it does not make it a bad game it makes it a bad sequel How would people like the last installment of Lord of the Rings if Tie-Fighters came blazing down the skies, or the last installment of Star Wars if it suddenly ended up being magic duels all over? That's stretching it a bit but that'...

Of course it would be nice to not be biased towards anything, but then that means I wouldn't really have an opinion on anything either, I'm only human, I have my faults, this is one of them :)

Everyone has different morals. Some may be viewed as good, some may be viewed as bad, but they are all different. From *my* moral view point you're much more venomous in your response, but that's just *my* view point. Ah yes, sequels are meant to change things, I always thought they were...

Oh, of course its the *wrong* thing to do. Cept you know, we as human beings tend respond to words with imagery and feelings... else language would be a problem. I mean, when you see the word 'car' you tend to think of a car and the like. Some words just call up stronger feelings/imagery for...

I think I've responded to that earlier too, but I'll clearify for you. it *may* be a good game, but its not exactly the fallout *genre* or at least what we perceive to be the fallout *genre*. Its like how you wouldn't expect people looking for a great action game to buy a great puzzle game...
