There's no doubt about it though, Mario is one of the most whored game series out there. I'm sure someone has posted a long list of just how many Mario games there actually is, and also the appearances he makes in other Nintendo games.

Currently replaying the game again, is there a way of helping to reduce the frame rate drop as your save file gets bigger as you go through the game? I've heard that turning off auto saves helps and saving less, but I'm hoping there are more ways which help.

I mean seriously, they've pumped so much out of this bloated character. I can see the future: Super Mario 100, where yet again you have to save the princess, like she already hasn't learned her lesson not to allow herself to be kidnapped. Not to mention the long list of terrible sports games...

I clocked about 75 hours when I was done with the game, all quests done, DLC finished, places that I wanted to explore, all achievements unlocked as well
