Even the original critters shift their positions on longer distances. Try moving The Chosen One in a straight diagonal line across a map and watch the animation end (when he/she gets to his/her destination).

Inverse Kinematics (IK). Every decent 3D package has that feature. It's just it has become somewhat obsolete lately, due to new features with extended functionality, which are easier to set up and/or use (e.g. Biped in 3ds max).

Arcania? That game has as much of role-playing as my 5-year old nephew of macho attitude. You can't really compare that to FNV. That said, I tend to agree with Mr. Threepwood in general. Good cRPG can always be sold, especially now when they are so scarce (not in titles, but in quality).

Your best bet about the hero appearance with the bruiser/small frame perks would be Mash or Timeslip. Though, you are right - it would take a while before we would be able to see all bruiser/small frame character animation sets finished. I'd personally rather like to see some new awesome...
