    Staying true to Fallout

the only thing that might have people thinking KoTOR was turnbase was the standard bioware pause-options and button, right? (dont remember much of KoTOR, didnt leave much of an impression apperantly) if so, how the hell people mistake a pause button for turn based is beyond me.

Bethesda has the best fan interaction *ever*

Hehehehe, teatime's concept art was rather cool, i'd say they use it :D

Aww... common... if asine remarks like that get you all worked up (made purely out of anger over an unfair decision). I'll say it for you, chances are that if SA banned idiots, not 95% of its members would be banned. You are right. Yes, i do, but the fact that you say that he posted more on SA...

Bethesda has the best fan interaction *ever*

I didnt generalize, i gave possible reasons for SA's popularity because you decided to bring that up (for reasons quite possibly unkown to man). But nonetheless, thats all cool and stuff, congrats with your ever-evolving forum complete with humour everyone shares, i hope you all have a good...

Bethesda has the best fan interaction *ever*

you're right something awful has its fair share of idiots. Certain members using arguments that come down to "we're more poular", and "JE likes us more" prove that. I can probably tell you what something awful is doing right, they have: 1) always a lot going on (lots of people, lots of...

Bethesda has the best fan interaction *ever*

First, I dont know what exactly happened but saying that posting on a public forum gives others the right to quote you on that is makinga valid point and isnt trolling, adding "huurrrr" might seem clever but it still doesnt make it trolling. Secondly, so the bold part is enough reason to get...

Bethesda has the best fan interaction *ever*

Haha, so... the somethingawful kids got slaughtered and rightly so, it wont get more pathetic than "banning due to association". I can imagine its more important to stay friends with a bethesda developer than with some guys from some fallout fan/news site, but playing these kind of power...

    Telefragged do Pete

I'd say insulting the core fanbase of a game you're developing is about as stupid as igniting a flame/hate war with the guys that are gonna develop the game that you have been waiting for for years. (in other words, yeah, a bit of a cooling down wouldnt do anyone harm) just a thought

    Todd Howard Q&A on Gamespot

is not evidence for Basicly when you want to proof for vocal minority being "elitists who don't want anyone to make the game except Black Isle." you need evidence that says that the vocal minority are "elitists who don't want anyone to make the game except Black Isle." not evidence that says...

    Bethesda and the SPECIAL license

Yes, the dialog in morrowind sucked bad, it was basicly just some interface over a database, they have to totally change that system around to get something that'd fit Fallout. I'm more concerned with that then with whether or not they'll implement an isometric view.

    Bethesda and the SPECIAL license

yeah, i guess they'll add some things try to change some things around to improve/balance the system (for better or for worse), just like BIS tried. But yeah they wont change all that much, it'll still be the same system with some minor changed, otherwise, they wouldnt have licenced... SPECIAL...

    Rosh talks about Bethesda

you're welcome, man. i do it all for you. Believe it or not but what you see on your screen is pretty goddamn important for how a game "feels". Morrowind, graphically, gave me the impression of walking around in a solid coherent world, this would, i think, work very well in Fallout. Too bad...

    RPGVault talks to Pete

Of course you cant change something essential and still have something worth the name Fallout. Thats why it would be essential (because without it, it would be fallout). the question is, what is essential

    Todd Howard Q&A on Gamespot

Yes I do understand the difference, and appearantly, so does bethesda, and what they're saying here (or at least what im reading) is that they'll treat fallout in the same way as they would treat a game of their own. ie. making Fallout 3 relate to Fallout 1/2 in the same way Morrowind related to...

    Todd Howard Q&A on Gamespot

he's saying (trying to say) that they'll treat Fallout in the same way as they thread there own sequels. so yeah thats relevant. "We pride ourselves in keeping franchises relevant and bringing something fresh to the market with each game." ie. staying true to previous game but still bring...

    RPGVault talks to Pete

Hmmm let me guess... I think they're thinking doing honor to the franchise without making "a top-down isometric Baldur's Gate-style game" is possible and will be "a good fit for our skills and what we do well". It only contradicts if you think its impossible to be a fan of the franchise and...

    Rosh talks about Bethesda

(first post, long time fallout fan, semi long time NMA reader thought this was a nice time to sign up, so... uhm... "Hi people") Good job and letting Bethesda know how the fallout fanbase feels... although it could have been said a bit less overly agressive, especially the first paragraph...
