J.E. Sawyer on the Legion and post-endgame play

A slaver army with spies everywhere; and control over everywhere from Northern Texas to Eastern Nevada.

J.E. Sawyer on the Legion and post-endgame play

If anything, FO3 had the most non generic plot if deduced to basic form, because the McGuffin was already in its slot, you just had to jostle it a bit and then turn on a couple other McGuffins to beat the bad guy.

J.E. Sawyer on the Legion and post-endgame play

The first half involves getting a McGuffin and putting it in its McGuffin Slot. Then come the Speech puzzles and the crazy shooting.

J.E. Sawyer on the Legion and post-endgame play

Actually, the people of Nipton were portrayed as scum who let the Powder Gangers step all over them. What the Legion did was justice.

J.E. Sawyer on the Legion and post-endgame play

History is bound to repeat. Caesar is the Master; Lanius the Lieutenant; and Vulpes is Morpheus, all in different forms. Not literally, but in spirit.

J.E. Sawyer on the Legion and post-endgame play

The soldiers serve Caesar the Man; Lanius serves Caesar the Dream. Caesar represents the idea that the world can be brought back to its former glory by pursuing a new glory; that for humanity to flourish once more, that all who resist must be trampled. That a good answer?

J.E. Sawyer on the Legion and post-endgame play

If anything they would have used it as support for the then fledgling XBOX, if lurking the POS archives has taught me anything.

J.E. Sawyer on the Legion and post-endgame play

It is. Also, the only upside to Van Buren never becoming Fallout 3 is that PoS2 would exist. Just ponder that for a moment.

You do know a Fallout 4 was planned that would expand upon the Legion, right?

    Team Fortress 2

Ever fortified the Intel room @ 2Fort using the Engie w/ Jag and Frontier Justice? It may be cheap, but you score kills like nothing, and the games wins itself. Works every time for me. And that's why 2Fort's the most underrated and gloriously overplayed map in the whole goddamn game.

J.E. Sawyer on the Legion and post-endgame play

I'm starting to think that Fallout 4 will reach more deeply into Legion controlled areas. After all, an important interview hinted at it being close to the Mojave; and Bethesda looooves its crazy nearfascist military groups....

Fallout Archaeology: Robert Nesler's concept art (Van Buren)

Not all concept art has to be that complex. Those characters were just the talking heads, so they need real faces to model after.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Bethesda thought its game was too easy, even though everytime I try to play it, I get killed by Raiders in some satellite dish whilist wearig the Tesla Enclave Armor. If anything about Fallout 3 truly sucked (past raping the series), it was the unrealistically strong or wimpy human enemies...
