    The Commonwealth

If he had some sort of functioning transport and he managed to get to Rivet City, then wouldn't you see it or wouldn't the people there be discussing it? It would be like pulling up to some super remote village in a white stretch limo. There is not way the locals will not notice. While Zimmer...

Well what do you know. I'm a little confused how Zimmer got all the way down to D.C. without any transportation

I played on the PC. I wonder if it depends on what platform you play on.

Option 4 still results in the tower being overrun by feral ghouls only you get positive karma for doing it. Roy lets them in even though everyone was supposed to peacefully live together. Attempting to kill him after he does that gives you negative karma.

If you talk him into the tower you get positive. He then unleashes the ghouls anyway which in my mind makes him an open target, however the game developers feel otherwise. Killing rich people is ok! The details make the game fun. I enjoyed having that pause at the end of the game where I...

    Horribly horribly ugly faces...

The terrain at times was every bit as sloppy. Up in the north West area while I was trying to find the source of the Chinese transmission I found that there was a whole section of rock that you could walk through. Not in a secret part of the game way but just good old sloppy work. I had similar...

    Impressions thread for negative impressions

Sorry, but for me that doesn't cut it. Why capture them as slaves when there doesn't seem to be anyone to sell them to? Historically farms are a great place to sell slaves too. Seems like the slavers got it reversed. It doesn't take too much thought to find the Fallout 3 world too artificial...

    Gun "nut" they are not.

This discussion has left me with a question. Exactly when is the RL history and Fallout universe history split? We can see that the moon landing is after the reality split(Virgo lander not Apollo) but after the Lincoln memorial's completion in 1922. We see many 'Little Boy' style bomb references...

    The Commonwealth

I mean sure, that's a plausible route, but due to the lack of anyone but the enclave having any working vehicles of any kind it seems likely that the distances would need to be much closer. Notice that with all the people in the area, some even right near the water none of them has made any sort...

From what I've played in the mod so far I would have to say that certain weapons reign supreme just based on their low AP use. In 101 I picked up the baseball bat since it hits for a nice solid 14 dmg. when I took out Biff I switched to his switchblade and found that I could almost nonstop...

I took the Commonwealth to mean PA not MA. It's also a lot closer meaning transportation wouldn't be nearly as difficult.

I was thinking it might be more of a divide by 0 issue but either way it's a very scary thought. The entire fallout universe might just implode

I liked Tenpenny. Unfortunately Bethesda didn't like him which is why you get get good karma for getting Roy into the tower (and he kills everyone). Attempting to kill Roy then gives you negative karma.... The karma thing was just not quite right.

Was I the only person to find the idea that ammo weighs nothing a bit disturbing. Also based on the speed at which I am reloading they are all in magazines, which adds even more weight. I just put 200 rounds of 5.56 with 7 magazines on the bathroom scale to make sure I wasn't too far off in...

    Fallout 3 Compendium - Release 12 - Beta v0.6.0.2

The fact is that overall there were far too few conversation options based on any of your stats. When I took the Ladykiller perk, I assumed that almost every female in the game would have additional conversations but I was sorely mistaken. Conversation is not this game's strongpoint.

F3C - Fixing the Main Quest, a Discussion

Well the turf wars actually would solve another issue: Travel! Fast travel random encounters would be less random and make more sense, not to mention that fast travel through friendly areas would be free of negative encounters. I'd like to see the 'factions' concept put into use because it...

Overall a great although ambitious list. I might as well throw a few of my own suggestions into the mix. Some have been mentioned before but I figure I might as well put them up again. 23) Fix weights - Ammunition is not weightless, A full soda and an empty soda do not weigh the same, etc...

F3C - Fixing the Main Quest, a Discussion

I think most people have opted to fix the plot although in large(and varied) ways. Personally I'd like to fix the plot, but I think that some major underlying concepts need to be fixed, then a revised plot line could be built on the fixed structure. 1. Faction standings - your actions...
