I would say FO4 was a shitty sandbox as well. When I tried "exploring" all I did was shoot at more things and loot more things.

I highly recommend finishing the Witcher 3 and the expansions if you have them. Its probably one of the best gaming experiences in recent years.

FO5 won't be Fallout game

Fallout 4 was made so a 13 year old can go on his Xbox and shoot ghouls before he goes to bed. It's stupid. Fallout is no longer the somewhat niche RPG we all know and love.

FO4 made me hate Bethesda and what the Fallout franchise has become. I hope CDPR can deliver with Cyberpunk 2077 to quench my sci-fi RPG thirst.

FO4 was a shitty game and most veteran modders of Bethesda games decided it wasn't worth the effort of polishing a sack of shit.

The thing is there is no emotional connection with quite a few of the characters in FO4 everyone feels fake. If you enslave or kill someone in FO4 it doesn't cause remorse because no one mourns or you don't cripple a town's economy etc. It feels fake and artificial.

I'd go third person shooter and make VATS an integral part of combat

I pirated the turd wasn't worth the bandwidth either although Far Harbor was decent in terms of atmosphere and music.

More sales. FO3 made $300 million on launch FO4 made $750 million on launch.

The potential was there for a decent game but it tried too hard to lure in the mainstream market rather than provide a deep RPG experience not all would enjoy.

It was like FO3 it's flaws didn't get in the way of my basic enjoyment of the game. Also the OST was great.

We have to wait another 7 years for another Fallout game. and then get slapped in the face by Bethesda again goddammit Obsidian we need the true FO4

I thought they would stop compressing locations so much. For example Diamond City is really tiny compared to the real thing.
