    Idea for an animation.

It's one of the simplest scripts there is: animate forever: procedure map_enter_p_proc begin reg_anim_begin(); reg_anim_animate_forever(self_obj, ANIM_stand); reg_anim_end(); end procedure map_update_p_proc begin if (combat_is_initialized == 0) then begin...

A new Fallout cartoon strip appears

Soon Per will need the FO2 engine in order to communicate with humans :)

    Idea for an animation.

Wild_qwerty talked about animating with colors rather than frames here.

    NT sucks

I always use Win2K for scripting, so I don't think that is your problem. EDIT: If you're using watcom, there is a \bin\winnt directory in the distribution. You need to configure your p.bat to point to the watcom executable there. http://modguide.nma-fallout.com/#Scripting003

    Idea for an animation.

It's just an animated gif converted to FRM format, and played forwards or backwards by the engine.

    Goodbye Liberal Canada

When all that carbon based fuel runs out, the power of water is going to be a juicy snack. We don't have "electricity bills" here, everyone calls them "hydro bill". America might be thirsty, that's when the annexation will happen

    Goodbye Liberal Canada

"How often do you see an Afghani rebel screaming into a CNN camera, 'CANADA IS SATAN!!"?...Never, right? Because we're NOT Satan. we're....satan's little neighbour." comedian whose name escapes me

i can not use fallout mapper in windows xp sp2

Yes, try extracting the contents of master.dat using a DAT tool (DAT2 or DatExplorer). Then you can change the \text\cht\ directory to \text\english, and hopefully the mapper will find the files. I think the mapper is based on US engine though, so you might run into other problems.

i can not use fallout mapper in windows xp sp2

Okay then are the master_dat and critter_dat settings in fallout2.cfg the same as they are in mapper2.cfg?

i can not use fallout mapper in windows xp sp2

Are you SURE that your mapper2.cfg is pointing to the right locations of master.dat and critter.dat? It looks like the mapper can't find anything.

i can not use fallout mapper in windows xp sp2

The mapper is not finding pro_crit.msg file and choking. Check your settings in mapper2.cfg for: critter_dat=C:\Fallout2\critter.dat critter_patches=C:\Fallout2\Data master_dat=C:\Fallout2\master.dat master_patches=C:\Fallout2\Data The pro_crit.msg is in master.dat, so you must not...

i can not use fallout mapper in windows xp sp2

You most likely don't have your mapper2.cfg file set up properly. And I suggest turning on debugging in that config file: [debug] mode=environment output_map_data_info=1 show_load_info=1 show_script_messages=1 show_tile_num=1 Then, rather than clicking on the mapper2.exe, click on a...

Hail, An introduction and a question/request

There are 118 new or modified scripts so far, but most are related to random store inventory restocking, random loot in containers, and random weapon wielding on critters in encounters. There isn't yet any new quests or dialog. The first beta is essentially a bunch of new weapons, a dozen new...

    Idea For a good mod!

Yeah the little one actually does look like a monkey. I do have it set up as a monkey in the original expansion. I'm not rolling out all the critters at once, though protos exist for all that you gave me.

Hail, An introduction and a question/request

Yes, plus more weapons, 3 new armors, a dozen new critters, and randomized loot, inventories, etc. But this mod isn't quite beta yet. If you want to be a beta tester send me a PM. Here are the Weapon and Ammo stats.

    Goodbye Liberal Canada

Well I didn't even mention military, although that is the most obvious issue of late. The point was: Trudeau, Chretien, and Martin (Liberals) all stand up and say no to American pressure. Conservatives tend to do the opposite. Mulroney said that Reagan was "sensitive to canadian issues". Right.

    Goodbye Liberal Canada

I voted in the last conservative leader in 84 (yep I'm old, was young and naive then), and I'm still paying for it. The GST, NAFTA, recession, and other things are still sore spots for a lot of canadians. The east will always get political favors no matter who is in power. Two thirds of the...

    Split from troubleshooting

Well running XP on a 133Mhz CPU doesn't make much sense. You'll have an overall better experience with everything using Win98SE.
