The Vault is now on Curse.com

This may not be the case for Vault wiki, but I hate it when I see it for other games, where many start their own wiki version, for example for skyrim now. wikia wiki with 8682 pages uesp with 14.xxx pages the curse version with idk pages skyrimwiki.net IGN wiki... What for? The result...

The Vault is now on Curse.com

While I can understand the move I totally hate it when wikis for games compete with each other. It's just a waste of resources in my opinion. And what I liked about wikia, where most my game wikis still are, is the fact that I don't need an account for every single wiki to contribute there...

On people saying that Borderlands and Fallout 3 are the same

I also had to open ports for my non-steam TQ version. And funnily I don't have to open ports for Borderlands with which I never had problems. But gameranger is indeed a good tool.

On people saying that Borderlands and Fallout 3 are the same

I don't know about Dead island, but I had to open ports for TQ and Magicka. L4D is running over dedicated servers but that game is backed up by so much money. Hosting dedicated servers for coop game's is not very lucrative. The need for open ports is like russian roulette for me.

On people saying that Borderlands and Fallout 3 are the same

That has nothing to do with console ports, it's a p2p thing. You also have to open ports sometimes for older games like baldurs gate for example.

On people saying that Borderlands and Fallout 3 are the same

Port forwarding is the bane of every p2p game as the host simply HAS TO open ports. Most games rely on dedicated servers where the ports are handled by it. It's not a problem of Borderlands, it's a problem of every single coop game.

On people saying that Borderlands and Fallout 3 are the same

The thing that connects both the most are the bad shooting mechanics, both simply feel somewhat sluggish. But then again for a quaker everything feels sluggish.

    Tim Cain joins Obsidian Entertainment

Well, cause and effect. If AP had been a hit maybe they gotten more projects.

    Tim Cain joins Obsidian Entertainment

I think the huge numbers of FoNV compensate for their other games. They did lay off people because of AP, did that also happen after DS3? I surely hope bethesda gives obsidian the means to do the next real fallout. And if you compare sales of Fo3 and FoNV I think, even Fo3 having more in...

GRA and Courier's Stash out today + GRA preview, part 5

I can't buy the stash, most likely because of the caravan pre order pack.

    Unmasking the Gamers: J.E. Sawyer

In many games you don't even realize that you learn something, sometimes it is even something really minor. Battlefield 1942 players can tell you much about the battle of el alamain or games like civ and the total war series, even if of course in many aspects outdated, give you a good...

Gun Runners’ Arsenal preview, part 4

The problem is that many don't differenciate. Two Worlds 2 got a new DLC on steam for 27€, of course everyone said: DLC for 27€? No way! Why is it a DLC? Because that is the easiest way to implement any paid content on steam. In fact, it is an addon that has many more hours of fun included...

Gun Runners’ Arsenal preview, part 4

Honestly, I bet if the pack wasn't ~30 weapons with I don't know, 15 NEW models but simply a pack with 15 new models for the same price less people would moan about it.

    Gun Runners' Arsenal Details

I already see the van graffs getting murdered many times after that dlc. I'm looking forward to more information, especially concerning more guns. And I think it is somewhat a nice move to bring out a DLC like that, simply a big weapon pack to add to the games arsenal, many games could...

I think they're the lamps you also see at the divide in the dark.

Fallout: New Vegas Lonesome Road released on Steam/PSN NA

Yes, but I never thought of that much again until suddenly I heard that "Yippieh-Yeaaah" in LR, it just made me laugh. I often catch myself humming it.
