    [FO2] Heavy Handed trait?

Reduces the quality of criticals by 30%, the opposite of Better Criticals. It's never worth getting for HtH characters, because you will raise your skill high enough so that you can make targetted attacks to the head or eyes, raising your critical chance, and as far as the math goes, the bonus...

    FO2: Ironman Build

You can still go into the character screen before boosting your stats. Just click cancel on the perk window, and it will appear next time you try to open your character screen. Every time the perk window comes up, it will refresh the choices based on your stats. This works with both the...

    [FO1 ^ FO2] What does outdoorsman do?

Oh, by random encounters, I meant combat random encounters. I'm just wondering because in one of my playthroughs I used falche to make my outdoorsman as low as possible because I wanted to maximize the number of random encounters I got, and thus, xp gain.

    FO2: Ironman Build

Very good, except you say not to rely on drugs. Drugs can actually be very useful for getting extra power during a fight, and the negative effects can always be rested off. Also, you don't have to use the drug right before you level up. You can use them after you level up, and then go back to...

    [FO1 ^ FO2] What does outdoorsman do?

I know in Fallout 2, outdoorsman gives the choice of whether or not you want to engage in an encounter. But since the original Fallout does not have this option, what does outdoorsman do in Fallout? Does it simply reduce the frequency of random encounters, in which case making it more...

    Help with a glitch?

I get blackouts too. Disabling hardware acceleration, or even disabling your video card, can solve the problem. Also, you can get rid of the blackouts by pressing either C or P to open up a full-screen menu that clears the blackouts.

    "Gambling" skill question.

It depends on the machine and how much you choose to gamble. Slot machines you win more often than at tables, but slot machines break down if you win too much. The larger the amount you bet, the lower the chance of winning. With 100%+ gambling skill, you should be able to bet the lowest...

    "Outdoorsman" skill question.

In the original Fallout, doesn't the game always choose to avoid the encounter? Thus, to maximize random encounters, never raise outdoorsman?
