Game development in general seems like a really tricky business to stay afloat in. The thing is, all we really have is a tweet to work with. It's not like we've seen the contract or tender options. It's a bummer that success is always tied to metacritic though.

Man, this is amazing this is happening. I'd imagine a lot of the more hardcore fans ponied up the cash, therefore the concern regarding the more casual fans isn't a huge worry for me. What'll be interesting is how much the devs take on board, considering they've a whole host of lore to draw on.
