    Wasteland 2 new screenshot

In the Kickstarter, the vast majority of backers put "graphics" at the bottom of their lists for resource-allocation priority. So yeah, no one really cared about that first and foremost, so the designers focused on audio, UI and gameplay more.

Would anyone take issue with the Enclave in future games?

My vote is that I wouldn't mind them showing up in a cameo role, like in FONV, but I don't need to read that book again, thanks. Enclave sleeper cell as a side-mission, fine. I want a Moonbase: Fallout, oxygen supply is the new rad-meter, real physics of near-weightlessness, starter area...

A Fallout game set in Wisconsin?

Detroit area. Already looks Post Apocalyptic, so they could just take digital cameras there and save themselves months of coding/artwork. Also, who would have bothered to waste a nuke on it?

Bethesda registers new domain, signs point to F4

It's not a whine, it's pretty spot on. Beth doesn't seem to understand that a difficulty setting of "Hard" should actually be that. Or that making it so you can get every skill to max, open every door and follow every mission path means that in the end, you haven't made an RPG, you made a...

Has the Fallout series ended for you, Bethesda/Fo3 haters?

Well no, clearly FO:NV took a big step in the right direction of how to revitalize the series. I think it required a bunch of patching plus the ammo/survival/consumable mods to get it most of the way back, but I think it did a great job of getting alot of my original enthusiasm for the series...

    Fallout 4 / Wasteland 2 conspiracy thread!

So, now that the beta is 16 days away, right at the original countdown limit for the (possible hoax) Fallout 4 teaser site, does anyone at inXile care to confirm/deny that Wasteland 2 beta is timed to go out with Fallout 4 announcement? Hmm? Hmm? Come on, inquiring minds of conspiracy...

Age of Decadence - the real crpg in the spirit of Fallout 2

Re: wat You have it backwards, I responded to the OP, VD responded to *me*. Nice of you to both grant me my own opinion and then invalidate it in the same sentence, that must be some kind of record right there. And VD hasn't tried to bring *me* anything, last I saw he's charging for his...

What makes WL2 a Wasteland game?

-Setting: In the wasteland lol -CRPG, party based -Tactical/RPG hybrid -Moderate puzzle/quest solving difficulty -Mostly skill-based solutions, combat and otherwise -Unforgiving environment, easily killed* -No magical bullshiat ever, everything must at least give a nod to science...

    The Elder Scrolls Online

Wow, I'd forgotten they'd done that, but they really did didn't they, open-chest "armor" lol wow. I mean, there were actual berserker cults that had to be outlawed at some point (thank you wiki!), and they were known for going bare chested or only in animal furs (ber-bear-serkr-shirt), so there...

An enemy you hated most in whole fallout series

Geckos in the Gecko cave. That whole area was frustrating if you didn't have walkthrough help (and I never did), First you find that area relatively early in game. Next, there were LOTS of them there. Geckos did knockdown and rad poisoning, made them horridly OP for your char at that point. Then...

    The Fallout from Fallout 3

Didn't care for SRR, was seriously let down as a KSer, but had a ton of fun with X-Com. Combat dumbed down, sure, but there were some brutal fights regardless. I was pleasantly surprised, but not nearly as good as the original.

    The Fallout from Fallout 3

The upside of FO3 is that we survived it, it created an interest in the franchise at a company that for all its design issues, at least was solvent, and it gave us FO:NV :)

What in your opinion is the biggest difference

For me FO2 had a much more tongue-in-cheek sense of humor, and I found the humor alot more topical to the time-period of when it was released, which was jarring to me even then (Mike Tyson, really, they're beating *that* dead horse still?) and really very dated now. I guess we are still...

    Your funniest Fallout moment.

FONV Realizing that was Dave Foley as my robotic quest hub and deciding immediately that I didn't really care what result I got, as long as I got all my missions from Dave Foley lol. Nothing in FO 1/2 was as funny to me as playing the game with the voice of my favorite KITH cast member...

How did you discover Fallout ?

In a giant pyramid of boxes at my local game store in Manhattan. I think it was one of the happiest moments of 1997 for me, reading that box and realizing that someone had made a successor to Wasteland, and it looked AWESOME. lol. I probably should have known it was coming, but I so rarely...

    inXile funding Torment

I've never been very happy with either TB or TBwP, both have their benefits and their drawbacks. "you go then I go" is not only an unrealistic sim of a "real" combat, but its just. takes. so. looooong. RTwP becomes horrible when you start adding in all the drop-downs, area spells, feats...

    The Elder Scrolls Online

Agree with OP, and I'm extremely skeptical about the MMO genre in general. Whats the word from people playing the closed beta now, anyone here have some experiences to share? Finally, for all of the stuff that Beth did wrong in skyrim, I loved their armors (well bone was stupid, but its a...

Age of Decadence - the real crpg in the spirit of Fallout 2

Re: wat In order, My reference to the "spiritual successor" refers to the title of this thread, no more, no less, I was responding initially to the OP, not to you. The first text anyone reads in the Steam store, before purchasing is this: "The Age of Decadence is an isometric...
