1957 Plymouth to Emerge from Tulsa Time Capsule

heh --- this could actually be a very good quest in fallout 3, I think. Your mission is to find a time capsule and get some info/documents in a buried time capsule that contains a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere Sport... But then again, maybe --- not...

    Bethesda Forums limit gameplay discussion

The FT/RT debates at Bethsoft's forums always ending up in a debate over isometric/first person view and vice versa, while including the third person options along the line etc. I don't knwo whether or not it was correct of Beth to limit the discussion of these topics to one thread as I...

    You Are Empty released

It is probably a very good FPS game. I'm just allergic to the the word 'immersion' and 'immersed' these days as they are way too overused, imo. But that's the PR-department for you :wall: :violent: not the developers. Also, is this game in Russian or is there an English US/UK version ?

    Fallout 3 Trailer

I like the trailer. It really captures the spirit & soul from the old FO games, especially FO1, just like Todd said it would. It has kind of reassured me a little about the setting, but I still have doubts concerning the story.

    GameSpot poll

The options in gamespot's poll are kind of *stupid*. They automatically seem to think that people either want Oblivion with guns or some rehash of the old TB, isometric games from 10 years ago. And some us really don't want either game...

Access to Fallout 3 Page Restricted

Actually, I think this is very nice info indeed. This means that FO 3 for sure (or something like that 8)  ) is going to be a (very) Mature game - a game made by adults for adults. I'm happy... :) (and these days that's nearly all that's going to make my happy ;) )

    A depressing read

Actaully, I think there is some sound advice in there, especially the play your own game advice. And when the devs. don't play the game you're making, why should or would other people play it. Way too many times, I have played games where I could tell that the devs. didn't even play the last...

For all Citizens of the USA

As I understand it, the US was shaped and formed as a counterpart to the rule of King George III (the third) in Britain who decided nearly everything in Britain in the 1770's. And that's why the founding fathers decided to make a senate, a house, a president, and a Supreme Court, which all...

Fallout 3: official teaser trailer announced

It's been placed around 4.30 PM (or maybe 4.20 PM) CET time. (whihc basically means that the time Maryland is about 10.00-10.30 AM, so it is one of the first thing they do after checking in and having coffee and such). On a totally unrelated note ;) -- socratex200X answered a question...

    More Concept Art

Betheda Game Studios working hours is from 10.00 AM til 18.00 PM. (add + 6 hours and you get Copenhagen time or CET time....). I haven't been at Bethsoft website yes, do I don't know if the website is back up. But they could be performing maintenance on the site, like Bioware did on their...

    More Concept Art

After last week's great art :) I do really think this concept art is somewhat disappointing :( I mean it is nice too look at, but it is rather generic looking, and for some reason the bloom or the hdr brush has been at work again.... Hopefully, these concept arts only say something about...

Meet the devs - Meet Todd Howard

Over at adventuregamers.com we have had a similar (and very enlightening discussion ;) ) about the same theme. And some of the old veterans from the olden days of Gabriel Knight 1 and Monkey Island 1 did say that they thought it was horrendous to go from moving being done with the arrow keys...

Meet the devs - Meet Todd Howard

There is a real difference, imo, between realistic graphics and glossy graphics. Oblivion's visuals were too much glossy (and white!) for my part, and don't even get me started on the soil erosion ;) :D . A game like Dreamfall or a game like Gothic 3 did have realistic graphics and toned down...

    New Fallout 3 concept art

eh --- that wasn't what I meant. Sorry about that :( Let me clarify my statement then. I know, of course, that Fallout is not all about bright sparkling colours, and owes a lot of its ambience to the setting and the architechture from the 1950's. I just thought that I didn't need to...

    New Fallout 3 concept art

I actually like this picture more than the others :) Real Fallouty sentience and ambience they are... Everything about the picture just says Fallout to and gives me the Fallouty feeling as well. I can't quite pinpont why it does thhat, but it certainly does :) It looks a commercial from the...

Meet the Devs - yet more quotes

I think we need to distinguish between Bethesda Game Studios, Bethesda Softworks, and Zenimax Media. It is Zenimax Media that bought the Fallout License, at least that would be my guess. And then the money men game down and handed Pete & Todd the Fallout license, and told them to have 'fun with...

Meet the Devs - yet more quotes

As for why Bethesda did buy the Falloutl license, I don't know. You really need to ask Bethesda, or Zenimax Media about this. And yes, I'm not a Bethesda employee nor am I trying to make excuses for Bethesda Softworks. I was trying to give you some form a reaistic assessment of what it means to...

Meet the Devs - yet more quotes

Once mr. Woody got a call about being in a commercial. Mr. Woody didn't want to do it. But then the person told me it would pay like 100,000 USD or so. And then Woody said: hold on a minute, I'd put mr. Allen on the phone... The point of this story is that when you're an adult, you maybe have...
