A New "I Am Legend" Movie

Like some of you seem to know what game Fallout 3 will be just by Liam Neeson beeing in it, I know what kind of movie 'I'm a legend' is going to be. I foresee that it probably will be an action movie of some sorts, much in style with I, robot, and Men in Black 1+2. This means a very heavy...

DosBox tweak suggestions to play Wasteland?

I'm not totally sure, but I think that one of Dosbox's strengths actually is that Dosbox works on nearly every platform, from Linux, to Mac, to Windows, which means that it also works on WIN 64 bit computers, bit I'm not totally sure?? I seem to recall that I seen a Dosbox version for x64...

    Glutton Creeper rethinks

I do really thing that would the best possible outcome. GCG renames their FO PnP project to 'wasteland' and talks to Brian Fargo about this. (maybe GCG have already talked to Brian Fargo?) And then Bethesda can make their Fallout game, and GCG can their Wasteland PnP game...And everybody wins :)

    Van Buren text available

Atually, this dialoque is even better than I hoped it would be. It still has that screwball kind of thing about that I especially liked in Fallout 3. It's also nice to see that developers do have humour, too. Sad :( - this game never were to be. I do think it could have been a very...

    Glutton Creeper's contract issues solved

And this begs the question: Why doesn't GCG make a Wasteland PnP game instead. Brian Fargo would probably allow them to do it. And as such Bethesda is happy and GCG is happy, as they've probably would be allowed to make a post apoc game in the Wasteland universe....(but, apparently, not the...

Glutton Creeper's Fallout PnP shut down?

As for fan mode things, I doubt they, Bethsoft/Zenimax will do anything at all. It has not been their style to do so in the past with the fan made content for Morrowind and Oblivion. And I've seen fan made content that requires, irrc, deep knowledge of scripting, as well as fan made content that...

New Fallout 3 concept art - east coast confirmed

I like the picture, too. It does seem to have captivated some of the Fallout feel, imo, as in the ruined and outbombed buildings. I just don't understand why all need to be bright and shiny and looking like new, when the Capitol building probably have have been empty fopr about 100 years after...

    Bethesda angering even more fans?

Yes, it is, but the only rational explanation for this, imo, could be that Bethesda are planning to release, Arena, Daggerfall, Battlespire & Redguard, some time soon, in a box of sorts for sale in the retail market.

    Bethesda dev speaks

eh ' I'm a bit confused right now ? It seems to me that all of your, or most of you, (or us?) here at NMA wants a game that walks, talks and looks exactly like a) the Van Buren project as shown in the video presented by Kharn or b) a game that walks, talks, and looks slightly better than the...

    Culture of Fear

Let me tell you a little story, then. When I was younger, I sometimes got mistaken for either an inuit (eskimo living in Greenland etc.) or an Italian or a Spanish boy or man. I just laughed at it, and then I realized that a long way down the lineone of my descendants were, in fact, Spanish...

Seth Godin: Sliced bread and other marketing delights

Actually, I think this was rather an interesing watch as Seth discusses things I have longed to express for a long time. (I have linked to the Seth Godin's talk on TED in one of my posts). The thing is that Seth is absolutely correct: In today's market you need to be worthy to make a remark...

    Bethesda's Fallout 3 forums opened

Just as quick reminder to yourself (us) and Bethesda: In a recent poll about 25% said that they have heard about Fallout 3 from NMA and just under 10% (or maybe more?) said that they have heard about Fallout 3 from DaC. And that's a pretty large fanbase to suddenly scare away. As fort the...

    Christ on a Crutch

I can't understand why universities in the US have campus police ? As I understand it, the campus police are not 'real' policemen like the state police or the policemen (and women) in the Sheriff's office?? On a sidenote, I think that the universities in Europe have long abandoned to have...

    Bethesda's Fallout 3 forums opened

I know I have been a bit active in the Fallout forums at Bethesda's forums. I have answeres 3-6 questions about what Fallout was. And in one answer, I mentioned that Interplay (&Black Isle) developed (& published) Fallout 1+2 about a decade or so ago. Little did I know that the one asking was...

    Christ on a Crutch

I have read parts of the play. And as a teacher I couldn't have foreseen this incident coming just from reading this play. In fact, some of the stuff in the play could be in Harold Pinter's plays or in a Swedish playwright, called Lars Noren's plays. When I read the play, it is obvious that...

    Christ on a Crutch

Yes, I know it has a huge campus (with about 30,000 people). However, I don't know why the university's PA system wasn't used to warn people after the first incident at about 7AM happened ? And yes, I agree, these things can be hard to call. And I do also partly agree that anyone at all...

    Christ on a Crutch

:( This is indeed very tragic :( --- I don't know why it has happened or what the motive behind it was. But I do think that the things maybe could have been handled a bit better by the university & the police. According to my info on this, the university didn't inform the students...

The most hated family in america

In my mind, it is just ethichally and morally wrong to picket & demonstrate at any soldier's funeral - to get the message across that they (the ones who demonstrate) are against homosexuality in the US. Every funeral should be respected as a service for the dead soldier and his or her...

Fallout 3 in May Issue of PC Zone UK

In a thread over at rpgwatch.com someone mentioned that the first two fallouts (1+2) back in 1998 together sold about 267.000 copies. And that this was enough to get a game company going solidly and stable back in those days. However, in today's market this simply isn't near enough. In a...
