    IGN launched Planet Fallout

Fair enough re: the wiki. Still, I know it'd piss me off, especially if I'd put as much into TV as Ausir has, and given how it's almost certain much of that work's going to make its way uncredited over to the IGN site. Hopefully TV will remain the more popular and definitive source.

    IGN launched Planet Fallout

What was your reasoning for creating a second wiki when the Vault has been up and running - independently - for years, and doing the job perfectly well? To me it seems a little disrespectful. If it was Bethesda, fine, but a member of the fan community... Maybe Ausir sees it differently.

NMA Op-ed: Fallout 3 PAX Impressions

Has that speech quirk - where acting true to your character has an affect on your game - been confirmed? If done correctly that sounds like a genuine evolution for dialogue heavy games.

Emil Pagliarulo answers some questions on BGSF

I hope it's not a case of 'do evil act, donate the required amount of money to church to make up for it.' That kind of... cheapens the whole idea. But - yeah, I echo what others have said. The karma system should have been scrapped, the idea of some omniscient force determining what is good...

    5 new gameplay videos

If the capitol, megaton and springvale are indeed all visible from Vault 101's doorstep, things are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too close together. I remember it taking days to travel between settlements in the old games. Here you can jog between places in 5 minutes. That's really stretching it, even if...

    5 new gameplay videos

1st impressions: The main character moves too quickly. I'd prefer him to move at a more realistic pace. Voice acting isn't great but it's certainly passable. Character facial expressions aren't very good. When Mr Burke chuckles, his face remains blank. When he's at the top of Tenpenny...

Gamespot UK plays Fallout 3 (again)

Christ guys, some of this reads as if you're itching to write a university thesis, possibly in latin, rather than discuss a game. I can't explain why but I feel the thread needs a picture of goatse. On topic: I can't get too worked up about fire breathing ants. I haven't read any of the...

    Fallout 3 teaser site updated

I like it and hope there's live action in the game.

    Igromania magazine preview

I'm with you on the perk. If I can still get the goriest deaths from time to time, where it's appropriate (critical hit blowing someone's arm off, for instance, or laser rifle frying someone up), then I'll leave it. All the perk seems to do is to make all limbs drop off on every death - leaving...

    Igromania magazine preview

I'm feeling we're at the stage where certain info should be marked as a spoiler before it's given. I'm starting to scan news very lightly in case it gives away specific details - as you/the magazine do/does here - now.

Guardian Fallout 3 interview, the follow-up

Ah. For some reason I was sure you had to view or get hold of a holodisk as well. But yeah, you still had to play the talkie character a bit.

Guardian Fallout 3 interview, the follow-up

Yeah, I'd have been surprised in any case if you couldn't beat the final boss with dialogue - it's such an iconic moment in FO1. I just hope it's not simply a case of having 300% speech - in FO1, IIRC, you had to do some obscure quests and research to get the option as well.

    Familiar console is familiar

I'll be playing FO3 on the Xbox. I've come round to the idea of consoles these past years (though the stereotypical 'console game' I have more of an issue with). Can't afford or be bothered to constantly maintain a PC.

Gamespot UK plays Fallout 3 (again)

I read some dev quote that said they won't punish your karma just for having an attitude - rather for evil actions. I hope this is true here - none of those options strike me as particularly 'evil', just some have a bit more attitude than others.

    CanardPC Q&A translated

Unfortunately this article came across to me as rather OTT. I'm harbouring my doubts about the game, but my gut tells me that just as I can't trust the super-positive previews, nor can I trust this one. I sense some kind of agenda.

    Emil sums up level scaling

Sigh. Level 1 completes the game. That's bad. I imagine the big bad ass boss at the end, the uber monster, will be something that a level 2 gecko has a chance of taking down. Stupid.

    videogaming247 interviews Pete Hines

I don't think the violence was this OTT in the original games; I'm not convinced it was entirely comic either. I think they've pushed the comic aspect a little far in FO3. In FO1 and 2 it could be pretty shocking the first time you saw it (and undeniably cool) - if anything, it was the Bloody...

    IGN LiveWire presentation available

Was gonna complain about the crippled head thing (beyond the fact that it's... a crippled head), but that appeared in the originals too, in the text box.
