    USA elections

Since it is me against the world here...if you want me to reply to something you may want to bold it, or start it off with something like "Tone:". Otherwise I'm going to skim. I'll try to catch it but no promises unless you do as above...I'm probably signing off for the night.

    USA elections

Everybody has the right to marry someone of the opposite gender. This right is denied to no one. If we are able to say they are chosing their lifestyle, then we are affording them a special status based on something that is deviant. Then they shouldn't get married. There are lots of...

    USA elections

I'm not saying they should be illegal, last I checked I was saying that gay marriage should not be allowed/recognized as "marriage". I have millions of people backing me on this. Sounds like you have a problem with democracy when it goes against your beliefs.

    USA elections

You shouldn't force me to recognize two homosexuals together as married. I'm not saying they have to die lonely, just that it isn't marriage unless it is between a man and a woman. Lauren, regardless, you quoted me way out of context. LATE EDIT: RE: The cow arguement-Homosexual...

    USA elections

Their choice and actions makes them the minority. Civil rights is about the thinks you can't choose. Gender, race, ethnicity, etc... To push them out to choices is ridiculous, except as stated in the Constitution (Bill of Rights).

You have that wrong. It is not important to discriminate against the people, it is the idea. Why is it seen as discrimination against homosexuals? Allowing gay marriage is discrimation against heterosexuals, but we're not important it sounds like. I am for a constitutional amendment to ban...

    Aurora Borealis/ northern lights- pics

You need something like this to make you wish you didn't live in Texas? I lived in El Paso Texas for 7 years, have driven all over the state and I never really want to go back. San Antonio maybe, but nowhere else. And hey, El Paso is technically Texas!

Republican Conservatism as a Social Movement

I wonder if this guy ever bothered to read the New Testament-the end of the first chapter of Romans... I'm glad to see other countries are giving too. Does this include contributions solely from the U.S. government or the total of this plus what the citizens give? I'm thinking it is just...

Monetary value of aid given for charitable means (which wouldn't count military). Money, food, medical supplies, etc... Why don't you check out the numbers and report what you find?

Republican Conservatism as a Social Movement

The Republicans have been getting the military vote for a long time and it has to do with more than pay increases. Democrats have found one way or another to piss off the military. Christianity doesn't espouse violence but that doesn't mean you stand by and watch the helpless get raped...

What's next in US foreign policy?

You know, there were several girls from Canada in some of my business classes and they said that the free health care up there sucked. One of them got food poisoning while on a volleyball trip and had to go to a hospital and she thought it was way better here. Additionally, being in the...

If You're *That* Distraught Over Bush's Reelection:

I'm compassionate and very conservative, but I don't buy into Bush's compassionate conservatism (I have mentioned I'm not a Republican, I'm a member of the Constitution Party). In fact I don't even really know what his compassionate conservatism is about except something to sell to liberals to...

Republican Conservatism as a Social Movement

Re: Tough Love Not sure if I'm reading you correctly but... Republican Majority: Yes, the Republicans picked up seats in the Senate, House and I believe they picked up a seat or two as far as governors go. Still, they don't have an operational majority. Not sure where you're going...

If You're *That* Distraught Over Bush's Reelection:

Care to summarize what I should gain from that? I've heard all that stuff on the news, a few thousand here, a few thousand there. Sorry...long days at work shortens my attention span at home.

Republican Conservatism as a Social Movement

That's because the rich are massively taxed. Who else should get the tax breaks? Not me. I get plenty, last year I got all of my taxes back plus about 3 times that in Earned Income Credit. I don't see how he is trying to destroy our schools in any way. The fact is, they need to change. I...
