Fallout 3: Are you getting it?

I'm going to wait until they at least announce the editor. I'm assuming that they're suppressing it to avoid gimping sales of the console versions, but I'd hate to be stuck with a bad game and no mods.

Bethesda hunting down Fallout 3 leak

http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45491 The storyline was what now?

    Seconded on that one.

    Deus Ex 3 info

This kind of thing is depressing. I can't remember playing a single game post 2000 that isn't dumbed down. And from the looks of it, gaming will never recover.

    Modding ideas/suggestions

Remove level scaling. SMs are so easy because of the level scaling system they're using - their level is determined by your level when you reach the area, and stay static after that. Which happens to be almost as disruptive as the level scaling in Oblivion. Also, make ammo more scarce. All...

Fallout system requirements revealed, gold confirmed

I for one do not see what is so 'deep' about the DB questline. Maybe I didn't make it far enough in, but everything seemed shallow and consistent with the rest of the game. Some of SI was decent, but the voice acting and acting managed to screw over the eccentricities of the characters. As...

    Fallout 3 pirated, videos spread

I'm praying that this will end up being a good thing.

Fallout 3: Are you getting it?

If they announce mod tools, that will seal the deal for me. Otherwise, I'll be waiting (hoping) for positive reviews from NMA.

Crispy Gamer, UGO, GamePro preview Fallout 3

Maybe it was the fact that I happened to experience Fallout eleven years its prime that shaped my perception that Fallout is a lot more light hearted than Bioshock. Anyway, I stand corrected. I can't claim to have experienced either game to the fullest, or even close.

Crispy Gamer, UGO, GamePro preview Fallout 3

True, they both share the dystopian retro-50s theme, but the the light hearted atmosphere in Fallout in contrast to the seriousness in Bioshock is what sets them apart in my book. But then again, I can hardly disagree with a journalist's attempt to convey the Fallout world to the 'average gamer'.

Crispy Gamer, UGO, GamePro preview Fallout 3

Still, one expects a journalist to know at least something about the history of the game they're writing about. At least enough to realise that Fallout and Bioshock have next to nothing in common. I guess the worse the journalist, the higher the chance that the badness of the previews can be...

    And incidentally not Fallout.

    GiantBomb previews Fallout 3

What's also interesting is that he killed a super mutant at level 2 with a 10mm pistol. Less than a month from release, this isn't a good sign.

MTV Multiplayer, Pete Hines and DLC

And the next FUCK YOU will be given to PC gamers, when it is inevitably revealed that Bethesda will not be releasing mod tools in order to increase the profitability of their DLC.

IGN Fallout 3: Six Hours of Exploration

Something along the lines of bombed out buildings or rubble would fare a lot better than the invisible walls, and shouldn't take much effort to implement.
