Depends on where you set the bar. for someone that plays any game that comes out, "Better than Oblivion" may say a lot. For others who get to play like 1 game a year, so it better be damn good, "Better than Oblivion" says nichts.

If there was a special encounter in Fallout 1 with an alien abduction, it wouldn't feel that wrong. After all it's your classic 50's sci-fi scenario. Actually, it could be entertaining. But this is Bethesda and Fallout 3 we're talking about: ALIENS PEW PEW!!

Oh yes the karma system, forgot to mention that one. Steal Y pieces of junk and you're on the Dark Side. Give X times water to the town beggar and you're a Knight in Shiny Armor again. Too bad the available quests and their resolutions are practically the same, and the dialog doesn't change...

I have to point out that each and every one of those 84 reviews has been posted in the newsforum by Per, and commented on in hilarious levels of detail by various users of the forum, who have pointed out where these reviews were accurate, inaccurate, educated, misinformed, or blatantly lying...

They forgot to include a perk that maxes all your skills. That would make playing after level cap totally interesting. Remember the Survival Guide after fallout 2 ending? Something like that.

Now he can't be serious. can he? Can He? Yes, it's too much to ask for something that's been already done a decade ago. This is such a deeply, uniquely stupid idea, it would actually be fun.
