I happen to love that "awful turn based isometric combat". The gunplay and overall combat and movement in FO3/NV is slow and clunky as shit and I prefer the combat of 1/2 any day.

Weird, I just finished the game with FIXT installed and didn't have anything as extreme as that. I did get little odd bugs here and there though, like examining a super mutant and getting the description "A female human wearing leather armor", for example.

This is what I'm hoping for. I'd like to see an Obsidian-developed Fallout: San Francisco or Fallout: New Reno or something.

If very poorly inserting some Fallout influenced mechanics into Skyrim counts, yes. God, I hope that doesn't happen the other way around. Can you imagine if Fallout 4 is Skyrim-ized?

What a dumb idea honestly. Might as well make Moira the antagonist. Actually, that'd probably be better. Moira was marginally more memorable of a character than Doctor Li, if for all the wrong reasons.

I'm a little excited just because it's more Fallout but I'll avoid getting my hopes up. I don't know if I trust Bethesda with Fallout 4 after the garbage that was 3. I can only hope they follow Obsidian's example. They could learn a lot from New Vegas.

For armor, I'm really partial to the Elite Riot Gear from Lonesome Road. I really love the Desert Rangers and the look of their armor, and the Elite Riot set looks even more badass with it's additional plating and such. Plus, it's got a great set of stat boosts, and it's as protective as power...

Yeah, definitely. Power armor's representation in New Vegas doesn't do it justice to how it's depicted in lore or FO1/2. Still way better than 3 though. All armor was borderline worthless in 3, not just power armor.
