That's not a fault of separate inventory system. Companions in these games are dumb, they can't manage their shit and you have to babysit them all the time.

    The Outer Worlds information overload

The problem is video games have become mainstream since the 2000's. They are now played by casual normies. They are now the demographic, the market, that video games pander to, an easily hyped crowd with zero thoughts or expectations of their own about games. Whatever you put in front of them is...

Obsidian Announcement on 6th of December

In (vanilla) Skyrim skills improve automatically by using them unlike Fallout, you can also raise them by paying for training (10 pts per level?) or by reading books but that's also possible in Fallout to an extend. It has skill trees with various perks that add special bonuses, which are not...

How many more posts do you need to realize that's not the same thing? Are you a bit dense or something? Whatever.

That would make the game even more restrictive in terms of the number of perks you can have. I have a feeling that this game may have a pretty low level cap, because from what I've heard, it'll be a relatively short game, about as long as "Senua's Sacrifice".

Obsidian Announcement on 6th of December

I know what you mean, you assume that you'll basically get generic skill points that you can distribute to various skills, but in Fallout you can't spend it on SPECIAL stats, in fact you can't even raise your stats without perks or other methods (implants etc). In this game you obviously can, if...

Obsidian Announcement on 6th of December

I'm just commenting on what's been posted, I don't know any more than you do. But it clearly isn't a system used by "every fucking RPG".

All I know is this post here and nothing else about the subject.

Let's assume we have "strength" stat and 100 is the max. Wouldn't that suggest that you can only have 5 perks related to Strength in this case? Doesn't mean that you can't have perks for other stats but your strength related perks are limited with 5 perks.

We're not talking about the same thing at all. None of those games limit the number of perks you can have with the level of your stat. e.g. with 5 Intelligence you can have at most 5 intelligence related perks. Perks may have prerequisites but that's not what I'm talking about.

More like you are starved for my attention. You very well know that you are in my ignore list yet you keep quoting me for some reason and for what, just to post some shit as you always do. Besides Fallout 76 and TOW, I've not played or heard of any such RPG until this day.

Obsidian Announcement on 6th of December

Both games seem to have a "higher attribute/stats means more perks" mentality, which is rather restrictive.

Wait, that almost sounds like Fallout 76.

Obsidian Announcement on 6th of December

Romance is pointless? As if the other things you do in a video game somehow aren't.
  15. nkchan16

Obsidian Announcement on 6th of December

Thing is, it's those things what makes an "adult game", those ARE the "adult things" you talk about, which may be "harmful" for a younger audience. Age ratings are never given for the "level of intelligence" required to play the game or anything like that. They are purely based on what may be...

Obsidian Announcement on 6th of December

Maybe you have some brain damage because you are the one who claim that this game (TOW) "wasn't made for teenagers". Fallout is PEGI 12, if you remove violence and gore from the game (and drugs).

Obsidian Announcement on 6th of December

Since when people in their 20s are teenagers? IIRC Fallout's age rating was PEGI 16, mostly due to violence and gore naturally. Maybe it's time for you to explain why you think this game is made for adults.

AHAHAHA! Delusions are the spice of life, ain't it. And no, Fallout wasn't made by teenagers.

Obsidian Announcement on 6th of December

This one obviously. Fallout 1 wasn't any different either.

I'm okay with Mass Effect kinda romance. Funny thing is while people complain about the lack of "good romance" in games, they have no problem getting hyped up about a game literally made for teenagers.
