    Places that had potential

I never understood why "Talon Company" tried to kill you on sight for no fucking reason in Fallout 3, and I don't understand why the "Gunners" in Fallout 4 do likewise. Who are these morons all working for, and why is "kill absolutely anyone that's not us" their MO?

    Places that had potential

Right. Instead we get a DLC that lets us set up bloodsports in our settlements. Pretty stoked about that, I really felt like my settlements weren't sufficiently shoddy and stupid-looking with picket fences and flamingos everywhere.

It should all just be soundbytes of "SHAUN!" from Heavy Rain.

They still haven't released the GECK? Jesus.

    Places that had potential

Combat Zone, Easy City Downs. One could've been a fighting arena a la The Thorn from FNV. The other could've been an actual race track with betting and some miscellaneous quests to rig races and etc. Missed opportunities across the galaxy.

    Places that had potential

Bethesda don't believe in anything other than shooty shooty bang bang, period. There were no end of locations that could've offered some interesting interaction which didn't just involve turning the whole place into a shooting gallery. Obvious ones: Combat Zone, Easy City Downs. But no no...

Was the Enclave the only hope for saving the Capital Wasteland?

Ah, but he also thought that you were pure-strain human or whatever since he believed you were descended from Vault dorks, so he thought he could totally get you on board with his purge-the-wasteland plan.

Was the Enclave the only hope for saving the Capital Wasteland?

Not completely useless to him; neither Eden nor Autumn know the code to activate the purifier and both think you do. FEV aside, the main difference is that Eden thinks he can convince you to willingly work for him and Autumn wants to interrogate the code out of you. Well, yeah, it's Bethesda...

Was the Enclave the only hope for saving the Capital Wasteland?

But is there anything to even suggest that Autumn knows about Eden's plan? Or that he wouldn't happily have done the same thing himself, and that his disagreement with Eden wasn't over something else, like his softly-softly approach to the PC?

Was the Enclave the only hope for saving the Capital Wasteland?

What makes you think he's trying to do anything other than kill you? Maybe I'm forgetting details, but what happened in Raven Rock didn't appear to be anything more than Autumn making a power play to me.

Was the Enclave the only hope for saving the Capital Wasteland?

So? Why should we assume Autumn was a nice, misunderstood guy whose personal motivations ran contrary to the established goals of his organisation?

Was the Enclave the only hope for saving the Capital Wasteland?

The Enclave's entire aim was to purge all "mutants" from their introduction in Fallout 2, I don't know why Autumn's motivations would be any different.

Will the U.S fall apart soon?

I think his preference in game developers is among the least of his problems.

Some of those characters are pretty insightful though. Lasagne is delicious.

Was the Enclave the only hope for saving the Capital Wasteland?

My opinion? There was never any hope for the CW, it was little more than a great big cartoon set piece with a new thing shooting at you every twenty feet. Setting that aside for a moment, though, had the Enclave had their way they would have simply killed everyone and left the entire place more...

    Ghoul Lorebreaking

The game doesn't actually randomly generate NPC faces. It has about a dozen templates for each type of generic NPC and just picks one each time an NPC is generated.

Video Games Industry - Discussion Thread

I'm virtually done with AAA titles. There are a couple of large publishers whose movements I still follow, but most of them have done their dash with me and I'm through supporting them. Ubisoft, EA, Activision, Bethesda; I don't intend to give these guys any more money. Almost all of the games I...

Will the U.S fall apart soon?

The Great Depression was essentially a case study in how unfettered global economics don't work properly and can very easily fuck up countless billions of lives when shit goes all the way wrong, but here we are a hundred years later making all of the same mistakes, shitting ourselves every time...

Can we honestly say Fallout 4 is better than Fallout 3?

Yeah, but then they'd need to find another way to hook all of the ADHD sufferers who need a continual stream of immediate gratification.
