Arabic peoples and communities in the Fallout universe?

Maybe we're missing something really obvious here. It could be entirely possible that the reason for their selection against other groups was arbitrary. Maybe somebody at Vault Tec (or, more likely, at Obsidian) just filled a hat with a bunch of evangelical Christian denominations, and then...

    Mount & Blade General

I wonder if they use rotten meat for those tests. And if they don't, do they have a big epic barbecue after shooting?

Is Cold Steel a company that actually attempts to make historic reproductions or are they a bunch of Americans trying to say "WE DID IT BETTER THAN SOMEBODY 600 YEARS AGO BECAUSE WE ARE AMERICANS!"

The FPS rpg, can it really work?

New Vegas had multiple ways to solve problems, though. Fallout 3 was just made by a developer that doesn't understand RPGs anymore.

    Mount & Blade General

Well I'm not even sure if the nations really did have glaring strengths and weaknesses in the period, at least in terms of individual troops (which is really the scale mountainblade deals with). It was more about the tactical ability of the commanders and junior officers than anything else...

The FPS rpg, can it really work?

That's because the aim-fuckery they do is really poorly implemented. If it was like screen-shake effect from this mod for New Vegas it would still reflect player stats in a way that honestly reflects actual firearm use more without being so intrusive as to make the game unplayable at lower...

Arabic peoples and communities in the Fallout universe?

Most of those have disappeared, though. A nuclear war tends to annihilate the kind of community structures that keep religious groups together. It takes more virtue to stand true to your faith without that structure there anymore than it does to simply abandon it and live for your own survival...

Arabic peoples and communities in the Fallout universe?

The idea that the Diversity Vault had to be a thing at all should really tell you that pre-war America wasn't a very diverse place. If it was, every vault would've been like that and there wouldn't have been a need for the experiment because they'd already know that this sort of thing doesn't...

Arabic peoples and communities in the Fallout universe?

It'd be awfully convenient if there happened to be a large Muslim community living out in the countryside, when ethnic minorities (imported ones, anyway, not native ones) overwhelmingly tend to cluster around urban centres. It's true in pretty much any Western country, that's why when people in...

    Don't trigger me.

The FPS rpg, can it really work?

It has almost everything that makes New Vegas an RPG, only I'd argue that your character stats actually have a much more obvious effect on how he behaves in combat, whilst still retaining the player skill requirements.

    Mount & Blade General

... And if your sword was made from steel that's better than the steel you could've generally found in medieval Europe circa the sequel's time period. It really depends on what angle you cut at them from, though. If you're bisecting them at the waist you'd be able to do it, but if I slashed...

    Leaked Fallout 4 Gamescom footage

If it's just a tougher feral ghoul I guess it's not that much of a problem. I'd prefer they added more types of ghouls instead though.

Mount & Blade works and I only ever play in first person, so yes.

    Mount & Blade General

Well, it is a pretty old game and as far as I can remember it was being made by like... some two-man studio in Turkey. Warband came out in what. . . 2008? 2010? Well if I was one of the two people who worked on the game I probably wouldn't consider that my players were ever going to want to...

So sick of all the old timey music in Fallout games

To be honest, I think you could get away with having some late 60s early 70s rock in the radio playlist. I mean you already have factions in the post apocalypse which're very obviously inspired by 80s pop culture and not the 50s.

Once again, it's done so that you can see what characters are equipped with if they're not using that weapon at that specific moment in time.

    Mount & Blade General

The only realistic way around it is to not allow you to do it in the first place. Nobody would be able to carry four greatswords at once and still fight with them. Have you actually played the game? It sounds sort of like you haven't.

    Mount & Blade General

They can't just let you equip a greatsword and a pike at the same time and then make it impossible for you to draw it, though. Pro-tip: It's a video game.

    Mount & Blade General

The "sword on the back" thing here is only done with two-handed swords in the game. Even the hand-1/2 swords are sheathed at the waist. Think of it more like a rifle sling than anything else. If you had to juggle the weapon between a tonne of others, are you saying you wouldn't carry it across...
