Except that I've connected to multiple servers from the browser, on purpose even.
They've updated the demo several times since it was unlocked, in case you only tried it once or twice.
UPDATE: Video of player controlled Tank gameplay
here's a sorta kinda workaround for the matchmaking:
- enable the developer console in the keyboard options
- type openserverbrowser in the console, hit enter
- refresh server list
There's a decent ammount of dedicated servers out there, which are approximately a billion times more...
Yeah, really. Nobody has a better track record for polish than Valve.
Also, their track record for delays proceeds them by a million miles. Myounage - you do realize L4D was supposed to be out in 2007, right? So now you're gonna complain about a month, and because Valve is smart and knows how...
I hard one freeze that I had to force quit from task manager from, and one nasty lockup that forced a hard boot, other than that it runs like buttah.
I mean, it's certainly no STALKER (or, god forbid, STALKER CS [shiver]).
That doesn't sound funny at all, really.
The only bug I've encountered so far is that remapped keys don't seem to work correctly - specifically the Pipboy key. Sucks for us draconian gamers that refuse to conform to THE MAN'S wasd layout. Arrow keys forever!
Speaking of bugs...
I played the game all the way through. They aren't children until the last part of the game. You know, the part where you can't harm them.
For the bulk of the game they're abominations, and even then you can't just kill them on-screen outright.
For the last GOD BLESSED TIME already:
1). Fallout 1&2 were both released prior to Columbine (this is actually not a trivial aside, believe it or not).
2). The Little Sisters in Bioshock are not children, and you don't actually get to see the player "killing" them.
I thought we were...
