Does Bethesda know they messed up?

Is Fallout 4 Todd Russian campaign? Will he be exiled to Elbe, and make his Hundred Days come back at the head of his Bethestard Guard, and fight his last Waterloo?

What is it with Bethesda and nonsensical settlements?

In real life nobody in their right mind would build a settlement in a war zone. That one of the problem of fps direction Bethesda has chosen. In Fallout 1/2/Tactics, you wander in a large region and occasionally make hostile encounters to spice up your travel. The Bethesda recipe, due to...

    Paradox Grand Strategy Games

My favorite Paradox GSG is Victoria 2. The whole industrial revolution period and colonization is one of the most fascinating period.

Do you want to know anything about China?

Speaking of Chinese pragmatism and religion. As a "communist" state, public school obviously has an atheist stance, and as you mentioned earlier say that "there is no god". But that doesn't stop China to have Taoist priest, Buddhist monk, Catholic priest, Protestant pastor, or Muslim imam to...

Do you want to know anything about China?

As long as the religion (and spiritual leaders) don't try to fuck with the Party, the Party don't care.

Do you think the world eventually recovered from the Great War?

Life could certainly still exist, and it is shown in game. But how it is portrayed indicate that returning to an industrial society to the level of development of pre-war America is impossible. The earth isn't completely sterile from radiation, but it isn't fertile enough for intensive...

Fallout: New Orleans at E3 this year?

Hehe. Mark Morgan can transfigure games to higher artistic level with his music. Fallout, Fallout 2, and Planscape Torment wouldn't be the same games, if he wasn't in charge of the soundtrack.

Do you think the world eventually recovered from the Great War?

I don't think that society would recover beyond pre-industrial. They might have some level of industrial capacity, but with almost no source of fossil energy, going back to pre-war is impossible.

Deacon FO4 voice actor leaks existence of FO5 pre-production

I couldn't care less about optimization if they fire Todd Howard and Emil, and deliver a good story in an interesting setting that is not a theme park. Not going to happen. My prevision is that Fallout 5 is going to sell more than Fallout 4, and it's going to be even worse. 10/10 GOTY IGN.

"Kid In The Fridge" Quest = the stupidest quest ever.

The sub has been without any form of maintenance for 2 century, at this point it's not repairing his sub that will help him go back to China. He would have more chance if he find a flying brahmin, or nail a bunch of rotten plank to make a boat. Well, maybe not, after all you can craft teleporter...

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Playing Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup pretty much everyday. I'm so low on motivation that I can't play a game that require more energy.

Do you want to know anything about China?

That may be obvious to many, it's true that China has switched from a planned economy to a capitalist economy, but they are some nuance to it. Most of the time, when we think about capitalism, the words free market, liberalism, private entrepreneurship and ownership of the mean of production...

Fallout: New Orleans at E3 this year?

That's Mark Morgan for you. Is there a thing that this man can't do?

Hearing "War never changes" in Fallout 4 is so cringeworthy.

The whole opening scene is cringeworthy. It's way to cinematic, try to be dramatic and emotional, but fail at it. FO1 and FO2 managed to do way much more with just some archive pictures from WW2 and the Cold War.

(SPOILERS) I Knew Fallout 4 Had Little Replayability, But It's Even Worse Than I Thought

The basic plot in life is : Wake-up, commute, work, sleep, pay your taxes, die a meaningless death. Bethesda plot : Kill Loot Return. Not to different.
