    Xcom 2 ?

Yeah, Faceless spawning and attacking in the same turn is annoying. I lost a Captain specialist to those bastards. Albeit to be fair, she was heavily wounded because I derped and turned a corner with my last action... right into the loving arms of a Berserker. She got hit for 9 damage then...

Ulysses is kind of a moron...

I think Hopeville's destruction was badly handled. The game just goes "all those ruins are totally your fault, despite this not being even hinted at anywhere before the DLC" then Ulysses spends the entire DLC being salty at the Courier because of it, but you never see it, never have any idea...

    Xcom 2 ?

It's got its plusses and minuses. 2 actions makes every decision important; one bad move or one miss can alter the course of the battle (by allowing one of those damn Mutons to grenade half your squad, for instance). Of course, that also robs some flexibility from the player and makes the RNG a...

    Xcom 2 ?

I love this game so far. The only black mark is the performance issues. My computer is not a powerhouse (6 core Phenom and R7 260x card) but even so the game doesn't run very well, I absolutely have to disable AA, AO, and dynamic shadows to play above 30 FPS, and on the Avenger it sometimes...

    Xcom 2 ?

Easily one of my most anticipated games of the year. I've been watching a Let's Play of the press demo (from a Youtuber named ChristopherOdd) and I saw very little that I didn't like. Extensive customization is great. I've played Enemy Unknown vanilla, Xenonauts and the Long War mod, and I...

I like bethesda's view on the BoS.

Yup. It's not Bethesda's version of Fallout if there isn't an endless supplies of bandits and orcs, errr raiders and muties to shoot in the face.

Disney meets Bethesda meets HBO? New Star Wars movie

Good, not great is how I'd personally rate Star Wars itself, so it seems good enough for the franchise, albeit that may be because I don't have much personal enjoyment in it. I mean, I kinda enjoyed the prequels even, so obviously you guys should disregard anything I say :p.

I like bethesda's view on the BoS.

I always thought that was more Maxson justifying himself or something like that. Thinking he's a hotshot hero while he's really few things short of a dictator. Besides, some elements of the BoS don't see it that way. The Quartermaster asks you to bully random villages in order to procure...

Can we honestly say Fallout 4 is better than Fallout 3?

As I remember it was kinda the other way around. They announced the FPS, people got mad, then they delayed it and in the meantime started advertising Enemy Unknown. In the end, EU was a hit, the FPS was a flop because in that case there was justice.

An analogy for the "mods 'll fix it" argument

That was my fear, that the perk poster system made it so modding skills and such in would be difficult, what with being hard-coded.

New here, and may I just ask a stupid question for once?

Unreliable viewpoints is not the same thing as inconsistency, however. To take a more popular example, look at A Song of Ice and Fire (the books from which Game of Thrones is based). It uses a PoV system where every narrator is unreliable to a greater or lesser extent, based on their perception...

I like bethesda's view on the BoS.

The funny part is, more hardly comes. Any goody after the T-60 is in the form of mods after you do side-quests. You get more paintjobs for your armor and unlock some less crappy stuff at the quartermaster as part of the main quest but that's more or less it as I recall.

I like bethesda's view on the BoS.

You're an initiate after you tag along as Danse solos hordes of synths, after which he gives you a copy of his unique lazer rifle for showing up and praises you. After the Prydwen arrives, talk to Danse and you are then shipped them and immediately given the title of Knight as well as a suit of...

    Any memorable characters?

Stereotypes and clichés aren't a bad thing in and of themselves. Half of NV's companions are clichés or tropes: Boone is the Cold Sniper, Arcade is the Sarcastic Nerd, Cass is the Hard-Drinking Girl, ED-E is R2-D2, for instance. The difference is, they are well written. Boone has a very good...

Someone finally painstakingly beat Fallout 4 without killing anything

This guy has way more patience that I'll ever have. Kudos for that at least. Even so, I don't really consider it a pacifist run. He just forced other entities to commit murder for him because the game absolutely cannot handle the idea of someone not wanting to run around and shoot people in the...

What does NMA think about The Witcher 3?

Thank the heavens for the jump button in TW3. TW2 nearly drove me mad with its contextual rock climbing that didn't work half the freaking time. Same with contextual door opening and its awful QTEs, that you could mercifully make meaningless. I'll give props to CDPR for making a good DLC...

Fallout 4 is not "Skyrim with guns."

It was the weak point amongst New Vegas's factions. Well-meaning but corrupted government attempting to emulate pre-war values? great. Egoistical, coldly efficient autocrat looking to tighten his hold on Vegas in pragmatic ways? nice. Stagnant and declining BoS? cool. Being able to say...

Fallout 4 is not "Skyrim with guns."

Considering the actual actions of the Legion in the game and their epilogues, I'd say their reputation is well earned and then some, regardless of the dev's insistence that they somehow make the vast amounts of territory under their rule paradise on earth. On top of the fact that there are...

PC World mentions Fallout4 as game of the year even though they think it's a bad game

I actually sepent some time on that mini-game. I think it is a clear throwback to Wasteland 1-era games, which is nice. About VA for player characters, I think it can add to the experience if it is properly done. Especially in 3d RPGs with cutscenes, where everyone speaks but your character...

"Kid In The Fridge" Quest = the stupidest quest ever.

There's also cut content where you can speak to and get a quest from the other 3 Fiend bosses (Driver Nephi, Violette, Cook-Cook). It is telling that in New Vegas, even the generic raider enemies were designed as an actual faction (even if it didn't make the cut) while not only are FO4's...
