Yet the tone of The Road is a lot closer to original Fallout than the tone of "Nuka Break" is.
I merely referenced "The Road" as the most recent post-apocalyptic movie with a grim tone, because, say, "I Am Legend" is even farther from Fallout.
It better not. If they actually keep the name and keep alluding to Fallout setting instead of a generic wasteland, they'll get sued by Bethesda.
Also, I was alluding to the mood rather than the exact setting.
I appreciate the enormous amount of time and effort that goes into Fallout fan films like these, but in order for it to generate real interest, it would have to ask for a far more serious budget (2 mil at least), and take the entire thing seriously.
As in, real script. Real drama. More "The...
More like, the deep gameplay and well-designed, cohesive world of Fallout1, vs. deeper gameplay and stupid world of Fallout2, vs. awful gameplay and cretinous world of Fallout3, vs. mediocre gameplay and unconvincing world of FO:NV.
Here's a translation of our exchange into real-world-speak:

The end result will be a balance between reality of mid-budget game-making and the market demands, and will end up being something like a spiritual sequel to Dungeon Keeper...
No, I'm pretty sure that Telltale games were more expensive than whatever this is going to be.
And they were higher quality, too...
... if you're into this genre...
...which I'm not.
That was the mindset behind Fan Made Fallout. It doesn't work.
Working with anonymous unreliable strangers off the Internet who work for free, doesn't work. Brainstorming between multiple people does not work.
Your questions were answered with links earlier in the thread. Most modders stick to matters which do not involve altering the main executable.
I am not intricately familiar with any specific disassembly tool. And you need to possess advanced knowledge of assembler, PC/Windows architecture...
It looks quite atmospheric, and it's always hard to give up the initial power of imagery or sound, but the particle effect needs to be more subtle.
There are effects/sounds that are great for videos, and yet need to be tuned the heck down for when you're actually sitting and playing the game.
