I think that, whilst an island game wouldn't be very Fallout-esque, a little trip to the island the bombs were tested on- for plot reasons- natch, could be very atmospheric- if properly done.

You seem to preach that your opinion is the only one of any import, that because you don't like NPC's, they should be cut out of the game. You also contradict yourself, by saying you'd like to play as a Non Playable Character. If a character could be played, they would no longer be Non-Playable...

I dunno there could be quests, like the boulder is looking at the canyon's wife funny, and stuff like that, really, whilst it would make a nice hike simulator, and prove people wrong that there was no use for Outdoorsman, that's a really dumb idea.
