    Any FOT experts could tell me wether you can get the APC to blow? The animations are there (and I adapted Red!Viewer to view them) but the trigger for the overlay is missing (hence you just see it stump normally). Thanks for any info.

    Alright, I'll cut it down a bit... You need to extract all the files from the BOS files. (which are really just uncompressed ZIP files so you can open them with WinZIP and the such).

    Make sure Fallour2.exe, master.dat, critter.dat and patch000.dat are all in the same directory, run Fallout2.exe If it still fails, rename Fallout2.cfg (to something like test.cfg) and run the game again, it should work.

    Hargh, this reminded me of something. Check critters.lst. There are two number after each "prefix". I'm really at a loss as to what those mean as it's been way too long but I remember finding SOME documentation about it somewhere... Sorry I'm not much more help right now.

    The weapon effects should be convertable, however obviously you can't transfer the transparancy features in the same way (though FO does support some, like the windows and the forcefields). Dunno of those proto properties can by applied to "Misc" proto's...

    I'm currently assuming that if the running sequence is missing it won't make the critter run. Similarely if the animation isn't supported by a sprite, the game won't make an entity try to pickup and wield a weapon it can't "render". I might be all wrong about those assumptions though.

    Also, you might like to try and fiddle with the shortcut compatibility options when running the game. Pretty much enable every options there and see if it helps. The main one I'm thinking of though is "Run in 640x480" option.
