Indeed they are hard-coded. You can always make your own albeit they won't exactly act like normal perks. ChildKiller, Grave digger, Gecko Skinning are all perks only done through scripting, so it's not impossible to code new ones - but they won't be available through traditional means.

You don't need to nuke any HD to install 2000 (or XP) over 98. In fact when you do you can boot both (if you wish so).

That's right, they have to be with you for them to level up. Not just on the screen either (even though they join to fight with you) - in the team.

The reason is that the 10mm pistol is in the inventory of a dead body. If you leave the map and return, the body will turn into a pool of blood. When this happens ONLY the WEILDED weapons remain on the ground. Since the pistol is in the inventory, it dissapears. It's not really bug... Think...

Looks fine on my 22" screen. Obviously it's a bit blocky. Some newer cheap screens sometimes leave gabs between pixels in lower resolutions which might make it look crappy though.
