    The patch looks in the registry for the uninstallation path. It countains a string which has the location of FOT. It then looks to see if BOS.EXE exists in the directory (regardless of file size or CRC...) if so, it proceeds to install the patch. That's how I managed to get the editor working...

    Do you want to know how to trigger the bugs (which I don't recall), or do you want to know what fixes them so you can "revert them to their original behaviour"? If it's the second option, it's all in the EXE.

    Experience is in the PRO files. Check the offset in a Fallout2 PRO and try to relate it to a FO1 PRO - if none of the fan-made critter editor works, edit the value in the official editor, save the PRO and look for the weird value you set in a hex viewer... Still need to look for the same thing...

    In the FOT downloads, get Red!Viewer MSI installation. It includes oleaut32 and registers it properly into the system. Once done you can uninstall my viewer and it should leave the updated files.

    Well, basically, load a map and if the tiles show up (since I gather you've not extracted sprites and entities?) then you extracted them correctly.

    extract them into the CORE directory and it should create the tile directory by itself. If it doesn't then you'll have tons of tiles in the same directory and that'll be a pain in the ass - and won't work properly.
