    Fallout: The Rebirth of Civilization

Sorry I did not post this yesterday, but I thought I was still banned. Well folks the time has come to post the beta. It is not finished, but it is stable and playable. If you all wish to see it completed, then by all means play the mod, take notes and give feedback! There are two...

    Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords

Murdoch you are quite correct about the retail release being a 50 dollar beer coaster, but with a lot of the fan made mods out there it has become quite enjoyable, if you like extreme micromanagement. Only reason I kept up on it was being a poor man with 3 kids to feed, I don't have a lot of...

    Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords

What I find rather amusing is that Master of Orion Three also had a detailed ship creation feature, and that was one of the major points folks whined about in that it added uneeded micromanagement. Now folks are finding that feature 'fun'. My how times change. :D Not saying you in...

    Life... Is good.

Have you ever played the VIP mod for Vicky? It improves the game quite a bit, and gives a lot of new flavor events to the game. :) Cheers, Thorgrimm

    Fallout a new Age

Actually, I have been running my own site now. We have RP's going on there, and the Player's are having a ball, at least that is what they are telling me. :D The rules are coming along quite nicely. Cheers, Thorgrimm

    Fallout a new Age

Syphon, I had to comment, a Hydroponics facility uses extreme amounts of water enriched with nutirents instead of soil. So you might want to rethink the hydroponics thing. And instead call it a greenhouse where you can regulate the temps and soil nutrient levels. Just a friendly suggestion...

Calculon is back and just bought Civ 4.

Rosh, thanks for the link dude. Since I have 3Ds Max 7 I should be ok. :D

Calculon is back and just bought Civ 4.

I decided to open up the Units folder and check out the Civ4UnitInfos.xml file. Each unit in the game has a listing just like this: <UnitClassInfo> <Type>UNITCLASS_HINDU_MISSIONARY</Type> <Description>TXT_KEY_UNIT_HINDU_MISSIONARY</Description> <iMaxGlobalInstances>-1</iMaxGlobalInstances>...

The Commisar wrote: Not unless I learn how to program to mess with the python scripting language, and then learn how to animate 3ds models. Now do not get me wrong, civ 4 also has some intriguing elements going for it. Like the worker boats that allow you to improve water resources. They...

Calculon is back and just bought Civ 4.

Gee, Kotario, I thought most of my displeasure over civ 4 seems to be pointed at the combat system, and I do see from your post you are one of those the graphics are cool crowd so I would expect you to change the focus of my post. And I suppose you like the powerups for the units...

Calculon is back and just bought Civ 4.

My first complaint is I don't like the overall looks very much. Now I've played a second game, and zoomed out, and that seemed to help, making it seem not so cluttered...somewhat. The 3D graphics are not awe inspiring. My second complaint is that the battleship and destroyer cannot bombard...

The Rise and Fall of Sid Meier's Civilization

What I mean by 'powerups' is that once a unit has enough 'experience' you can choose new abilities, (read powerup) like 2 square view, road travel rate. Abilites that are not part of the unit when the game began. this is one of the new features the idiots are putting in to make it 'more...

The Rise and Fall of Sid Meier's Civilization

Wooz's screens and the idiotic concept of 'powerups' in civ is the reason I call it civcraft, and will not get it. My following of this series of games ends with Civ 3. The thought of getting powerups for the units winning combat just makes me want to retch. :puke: Thorgrimm

    The War on Bush...

Rosh, since you never picked up what I was trying to say I will spell it out for you. I was never calling into question your basic premise that a single man can be responsible for a war, just that your usage of the Pearl attack was incorrect. Below is the radio traffic between Macarthur's...
