Bethesda hunting down Fallout 3 leak

Right, but we didn't know that until the video got leaked. It would've come out in the demo, but if Bethsoft had made a better product, that wouldn't have been an issue to begin with. So again: a demo would've helped; it wouldn't have been a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" for them.

Bethesda hunting down Fallout 3 leak

He means it's a no-win situation. Which isn't true at all; the company could've avoided a lot of flak by releasing a demo, at least.

    Qore network video interview

Huh. Well, I hopefully stand corrected. They still look like orcs, though.

    Qore network video interview

Mmm. Well, I guess my answer to your sort-of query is: We don't know yet. And some of us *coughmecough* don't really care too much 'bout that. And it's been pretty well established that the Super Mutants can't be talked to. Which makes them the new Orcs, a point I'd made months ago, and...

    Qore network video interview

Huh? I wasn't even talking about that. Or what I think you're talking about. What I'm saying is, regardless of whether feral ghouls are in or not, the ghouls in Fallout 3 look *very* different, and that we saw an official preview video several months back where the ghouls were *running.*...

    Fallout 3 pirated, videos spread

That's a good reason. And I have to say, MrBumble, your about-face on Fallout 3 is both frightening and illuminating. Frightening because it was so radical (granted, lots of other posters had the same thing happen... not me, but that's because I'd gone through all that "stages of grief"...

Bethesda hunting down Fallout 3 leak

I agree with you on that. Ever play the Wizardry series? Great games, but it gets a bit dull waiting for the enemies to move toward you or attack you or whatever. Plus, there's that whole "horse with blinders" problem of FPP to begin with (IE, no peripheral vision.) And third- Bethsoft...

    Fallout 3 GOAT questions?

This is one of those moments when "Wait and see" is actually a good excuse. Because if someone knows them, they've seen those pirated videos, and that's very frowned upon in this particular community- and with good reason. Pirating is still pirating, regardless of what one may thing...

    Gametrailers.com exclusive Fallout 3 footage

I agree. I read some of those spoilers here (and tried to put my own comments in the "spoilers" tag, which didn't work.... maybe it's a Mac issue thing?) and they all sound so horrible. Just ridiculous. Like a bad Silver Age SF story or something... plus guns! *pew pew*!!

    Qore network video interview

Or they could've been like they were in the first two games: slow, shambling wrecks with peeling skin, instead of fast (or medium-speed) bits of living jerky. I personally don't care about the "feral ghouls" thing; what bothers me is how different the ghouls are from their previous...

GameTrailers TV Fallout 3 exclusive, also Todd Time

Halo Wars? Hell, GTTV has been promoting the shit out of that game for over a year now. They had a full HOUR special split between it and Halo 3, back when the latter was close to being released (the standard "Cures cancer and makes world peace" previews), so hearing that they're still pimping...

    Fallout 3 pirated, videos spread

We've already got a topic in the Fallout 3 sub-forum on just this question (minus the "OMG I can't believe you're all talking about a Fallout 3 that didn't turn out like this, you're a bunch of morons for wanting it blah blah blah" stuff that *never* gets old) but, hey, I'll field it anyway...

Top 10: Kick ass moments from a day with Fallout 3

Minor sidebar here: In the first two games, stimpaks didn't heal broken limbs. You either needed to go to a doctor, or use the Doctor skill (if it was high enough.) Stimpaks or resting to heal broken limbs is just plain stupid... and it seems like it's pretty well been confirmed as in the game.

Swedish PC Gamer reviews Fallout 3

I think they could have, honestly. The population density wouldn't be there, so you'd probably still be able to have all that wandering and sense of space that FO1/2 had. Though that sense of space versus what seems to be happening in FO 3 underscores a difference between the east and west...

Fallout 3. Is it really so bad?

...Or in a few weeks we'll be talking (more) about "accursed Fallout FPS!" Which I'm leaning more toward as the actual (non-gold, Euro-only, so far) reviews are coming in. It doesn't seem horrendous, unless you're talking about the poor job on lore and mechanics, but it doesn't seem really...

Show us where your avatar is taken from

Mine's an Einsturzende Neubauten icon that came with "Kalte Sterne: The Early Recordings." Earlier, in tiled form, it was my Wallpaper. Now it's here... though for how long... *noooobody knows.*

    Rate the avatar above yours.

Doubly disturbing, and animated. 10/10. Also: got off my ass and finally got a damn avatar. 's more a placeholder, but I still like it.

    Fallout Haiku

Wow, they've got problems. What's wrong with their brains, I ask. .... Is that a TV?!?!? Next: getting caught with Mordino's daughter.

How does it feel to play Fallout?

[/raspy voice]What can change the nature of a man?[/raspy voice] Yea, it's pretty obvious. What do I feel when I play Fallout? I feel immersed. The term's been overly abused these past few years, especially when it comes to the Fallout series, but the game definitely draws me in. I...

Bethesda open to Fallout 3 film idea

Oh, that depends on what you're looking at. In terms of performances, the Lynch film wins. In terms of being in line with the actual story (well, as long as you don't get into the super-squished "Children of Dune" follow-up miniseries) it's much closer. I like both, but I definitely...
