That's a good reason. And I have to say, MrBumble, your about-face on Fallout 3 is both frightening and illuminating. Frightening because it was so radical (granted, lots of other posters had the same thing happen... not me, but that's because I'd gone through all that "stages of grief"...

I agree with you on that. Ever play the Wizardry series? Great games, but it gets a bit dull waiting for the enemies to move toward you or attack you or whatever. Plus, there's that whole "horse with blinders" problem of FPP to begin with (IE, no peripheral vision.) And third- Bethsoft...

This is one of those moments when "Wait and see" is actually a good excuse. :wink: Because if someone knows them, they've seen those pirated videos, and that's very frowned upon in this particular community- and with good reason. Pirating is still pirating, regardless of what one may thing...

I agree. I read some of those spoilers here (and tried to put my own comments in the "spoilers" tag, which didn't work.... maybe it's a Mac issue thing?) and they all sound so horrible. Just ridiculous. Like a bad Silver Age SF story or something... plus guns! *pew pew*!!

Halo Wars? Hell, GTTV has been promoting the shit out of that game for over a year now. They had a full HOUR special split between it and Halo 3, back when the latter was close to being released (the standard "Cures cancer and makes world peace" previews), so hearing that they're still pimping...

Minor sidebar here: In the first two games, stimpaks didn't heal broken limbs. You either needed to go to a doctor, or use the Doctor skill (if it was high enough.) Stimpaks or resting to heal broken limbs is just plain stupid... and it seems like it's pretty well been confirmed as in the game.

I think they could have, honestly. The population density wouldn't be there, so you'd probably still be able to have all that wandering and sense of space that FO1/2 had. Though that sense of space versus what seems to be happening in FO 3 underscores a difference between the east and west...
