February 14, 2012 is the day to go back (JA2)

Technically no. But it's impossible for a company to do this sort of game if they have a marketing suit on the payroll (or even in charge) who had a two week course in game design and bases his decisions on metacritic shit. And since investors demand the thumbs up of such a suit for tossing...

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Never buy on release day, never play on patch day. Prevents high blood pressure, grey hairs and an urge to kick yourself or someone else in the head:).

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

What a ridiculous mess.... Boy am I glad I learned my lesson with oblivion. If i'm gonna ever spend money on this crap it will be a year from now when its in the bargain bin. They really should release the CS soon, obviously they aren't capable of fixing the game themselves. Let some modders...

Five Lessons Fallout 4 Can Learn From Skyrim

Both. After releasing enough brainfarts for IGN they get headhunted by Bethesda and the like to be gamewriters. IGN then needs to find new people that find the new gameswriting worthy of a nobel prize. They get recruitet away again.... after that it just gets worse. Explains the decline in...

    Other great Post-Apocalyptic games?

Fort Zombie by Kerberos. 3rd Person shooter/rpg. Its actually a test of the engine for another project but kerberos made a game of it. It costs about 10 bucks, and is pretty immersive and very unforgiving. Has some bugs but none that are gamebreaking. You have to secure a stronghold and then...

    Bethesda's preliminary injuction denied, again

If that is their concern they should never have sold (us) FO3.

Bethesda appeals to the court, again

Perhaps they still hope the judge played some Oblivion/FO3 in the meantime and has finally seen the awsomeness of Beth.

OnLive gets a launch date - June 17th

EULA and legally owning things is just one part of the whole package. Legally now you do not own a game but have the license to use it, and you have it legally in your possession. With streaming serverside stuffthings that changes to having legally a license to play it but you do no longer have...

    Nuclear power

 I see how this could be more dangerous than a NPP going china-syndrome. Do the little bits radiate after they hurt people? The problem with nuclear accidents are the longterm effects of radiation. I dont doubt that the initial bodycount of a serious nuclear incident is nothing...

Bethesda wants Skyrim PC Mods on consoles!

He is referring to the OBSE Script extender. Without it you can have tons of texture and mesh replacers, some new houses and horsearmors. But you need script extender if you want anything elaborate like hunger, thirst, fatigue mods, new spell effects, scriptet storys and such stuff. There...

New Skyrim's E3 demo looking quite...

Of course you could, but this time its a new feature you know? Back then the fact that if you were holding a weapon while using a spell the animation showed a weapon too was just common sense. But now its a PR-decision to make the game more immersive. I heard rumours that they want to include...

New Skyrim's E3 demo looking quite...

I suggest that we only speak in hushed voices (or small font) about this upcoming masterpiece and refer to it as "award-winning Skyrim". My most pressing question for now is: will they include the horsearmor in the retail version or do we have to wait for it again? I would ask this at the...

    Witcher 2

Finished it today on normal and will give it a second go for sure. Like others here i have some minor rants to get off my chest. The controls are too consoley for my liking and sometimes too unresponsive. I hated the QTE, i really dont see the point of them. And the bossfight against mr...

Would you have liked Fallout 3 if . . .

@mjolnir: no And the laserrifle, and the plasmadildo and... but i agree, the cannon that got raped the most was that poor shotgun. How very, very stupid that design is....

More space exploration in the vein of Starflight?

Or, if you don't mind 50K co-players, i would recommend EVE. Though exploring worthwile anomalys might result in a stealthfleet trying to gank you. But its quite entertaining and there are lots of stuff to do. Edit: argh, you got the prosper before i could answer. Damit. Busy guy, had 10...

Im considering to buy NV but there are some things...

Well, if you dont do steam you will have a hard time installing FONV. It requires steam with an account for activation. I hate this stupid crap myself. Its better than GFWL but its still as if they would assprobe you in a bakery because you "could" be a breadthief. Anyway, good luck getting...

Im considering to buy NV but there are some things...

I did not have too much stability problems. Some crash here another there but happens seldom enough to just be a minor annoyance not a gamebraking experience. Just patch it up, because the savegamebug can be really troublesome. German synch is bad. In FO3 i found the german version was...

Just Wondering.... (Relates to Jagged Alliance 2)

There is a new update for the 1.13 patch coming soon (end of the month i think). Once its out i will give good old JA2 another spin. They can keep their new shiny stuff for all that i care.

Bethesda wants Skyrim PC Mods on consoles!

FO3 and FONV have a comparatively small and boring modding community. Look at Oblivion and even Morrowind. There is awesome stuff for those games. Better Cities, Open Cities, the whole Overhaul mods from Oscuro and Martigen, Vim and Vigour... Of course there are tons of stupid mods too but...
